Well I've been seriously thinking about how much the crowds at Warped suck. I went to see a few bands, sure, but I went around numerous times checking out the Ernie Ball stage and the smaller Volcolm, Smartpunk, and Hurley stages. However, everytime I wanted to make a round to the BNO tent (which was always very empty, even though Connor was working it. I went over there about 8 times to tell him how awesome he was, hes the man, he signed my cd for me :p), I had to push through thousands of kids. It seems that every single person was there to see Fall Out Boy, Offspring, or My Chemical Romance, but why wasn't there anyone there to see Gratitude, The Recieving End of Sirens, hell even Emery and BNO were pretty empty most of the time?

I always thought Warped was about seeing bands and discovering new music, it's outrageous when you can't even walk through the crowd of fall out boy fans. I'm done complaining now.

I think the line-up should have been warning enough that it was going to suck.

Your problem is that you are going to warped tour expecting...I dont even know. Warped Tour is differnet now than it used to be before the year 2000. People go for the sole reason of seeing there Fall Out Boy and what not. The Warped crowd these days could care less about the bands playing before 3pm on a stage that is not the main stage.

Seriously, at just about 2 the place got filled, probally because the bigger bands were going on. I was really mad though when I went and Circa Surivive, TREOS, or A.W.S. had no crowd whatsoever, I mean, Warped sucks.

This was my first one, because I could never get there before. I was really excited to walk around and find out about all these new bands, which I did. I thought it was really cool to sit there and have a conversation with a band member about thier music, and how they haven't gotten signed yet, or how thier bus broke down and ended up settig up their merch table, but couldn't play a stage, hell...I thought it was fun. But there are just soooo many little girls with thier parents pushing you because they want to get on time to see fall out boy :(

it was my sixth year at warped tour this summer and the crowds were the worst they have ever been this year. i couldn't stand it.

Warped Tour is awesome if you stay away from the main stages

You seriously shouldn't expect too much from it, the last two years have been increasingly bad in the kids-just-there-for-the-main-acts department. Last year it was Yellowcard, this year Fall Out Boy. Warped also has the problem of it being alot of kids first big concert, and so the pits and crowds are just downright retarded most of the time. And don't even get me started on the douchebags that throw shoes and wallets and shit on stage / across the crowd.

Don't worry about it, just go to the good bands and support them, they appreciate it that much more.

this year was my 4th or 5th and the crowds were by far the worst. It's kinda sad when I tell you the most crowded and shoved around I've ever gotten in a pit was watching....Fall Out Boy. Fuck, I've been up in front for Thrice, for Rancid, for NOFX, for Pennywise, and I've never got beaten around so much as when I was watching Fall Out Boy. Like what the fuck, I wasn't aware that 10,000 teenage girls could push toward the stage constantly. damn.

What do you expect when half the people there are in diapers?

I loved my Warped Tour. I don't care if people are at different stages while im seeing my favorite bands.. Thats less people I have to care about starting a retarded mosh or kicking me in the face crowd surfing.

strange. when i went to warped, emery had it's own signing and the line was extremely long. and bno was one of the last bands playing along with hawthorne heights, and they had a huge crowd. maybe they're just not as known where you live?

but, yeah, warped tour crowds are never fun unless you're near the circle pits. i personally think its absolutely silly to be one of the people who just stand and watch a band. they don't even twitch or sing. that's what i don't like, it's just boring and a waste of money.

I agree that it is nice to have a smaller crowd, but I love pushing and getting pushed. Emerey was pretty dead, I mean there was a crowd, but nothing huge. BNO I'm not sure how big the crowd was, but about 5-10 minutes before I was in the front, looked back and there werent all that many people.

Out of all three Warped Tours I went to, almost every single act I saw was on a side-stage.
If you stay away from Main stages, you're fine. You also meet a lot of cool people too.
But to anyone that went to Minnenapolis:
What the hell was up with those 100 something kids that were walking around with red stage-makeup streaming from their eyes??

that happens when you have all these little girls who don't know what are the singers names or anything from bands except that they say they are hot thats it

yea i agree, emery and circa survive were amazing and there were a good amount of people. all the bands i saw were at the side stages except for thrice, and i had a great day. on the smaller stages its easier to get involved in the show and is therefore alot more enojyable, but then again im not a 14 year old girl

It was pretty full crowds for Emery and BNO at the Indy date.

This is why I opted to go get hotdogs in manhattan instead of going. Even though I am a sucker for some fall out boy.

I can't wait to see BNO at Nintendo Fusion. I want to see everyone there except FOB, should be a damn good show.

Yeah I thought the crowds sucked pretty bad, I didn't have the greatest of times, but it was worth it overall.

First warped.

I stuck near the side stages.. fuck the main stages. I went to the main to see Thrice and Saosin and then got OUT OF THERE. I like the smaller crowds better (even though they werent THAT small..).. TREOS, Emery, Circa Survive, Like Yesterday... fuck the others let them go listen to Fall Out Boy and MCR.. i love both bands but rather see the others. I was expecting a sucky crowd at the main stage.

I'm only going to see Panic!, BNO, and MCS. When TSL and FOB hit the stage, I'll be playing video games.

Yeah, the crowds at warped did really suck. There were wayyy too many kids there and half of them were there for fall out boy, my chemical romance and hawthorne heights, they didnt know any other bands. it's alright if they go there just for them, but they dont care to discover new bands. And like aloneinthedark said, i think warped is about seeing the bands you already know AND discovering new ones. Oh well, it was still fucking awesome, no matter how many annoying people were there
