That's sad. They got a domain just for people to vote them a crappy VMA. And here's the "Sorry, we can't come to Europe" reason.
Though if you really want to vote, play the game, since it gives more votes.

i never knew a "veejay" could get hired knowing so little about music. seriously, none of their veejays seem to know shit outside of the mainstream.
i remember on some sounds of sumemr crap i happened to catch that pete was telling one of their hosts some bands he grew up liking (i think he mentioned lifetime and some others) and the veejay just looked dumbfounded.

Really who gives a fuck? It's an award given by a station that doesnt even play music more than for 5 minutes in the morning. Why Fall Out Boy, why not support My Chemical Romance? Everyone caters to these motherfuckers and I really don't see why. Sure they have their catchy songs, like 3 off em on the new cd, but seriously, they arnt the fucking big deal everyone makes them out to be.

stupid 12-year olds....i think i'll go hang some of them by their ankles for good measure
its sad though, they just go with whatever is popular and such, they need to get a real opinion
and its not FOB's fault that so many drooling clueless kids like them, that being said a bunch of us should make those kids listen to Northstar and The Spill Canvas and show them what music is

Wouldnt that just make the problem worse? These kids obviously dont care what's good or bad, they care what other people think and if that means the band of the month is the greatest thing since last week so be it they will throw themselves at them like they were there since day 1. But please, lets not bring Northstar into this mess, I have a loaded gun in a glass case for when that day comes...and I dont want to use that.

you win VMA's, you get to number 1 on trl, you get more support from your label, which means more opportunities to do cool things for your fans. but yeah, i guess it is sad.
Oh shit, they'd better learn how to play their instruments, and fast!
instruments were never a problem at their live shows, it's the singing that's hit or miss. but that's enough out of you, why don't you go pull an elliot smith and stab yourself in the heart.

yes! damn you mtv! why do you make good bands gain exposure and become popular in the mainstream thus making them worse in my eyes because now they aren't my little secret and now by liking them i have become "one of the masses" and everyone knows i only conform to the non-conformists.

They'll probably get the NFG treatment - remember when NFG played the pre-show and got cut into by Ashlee Simpson?
At best, they'll show up wearing shirts of the bands they like, and everyone walks away happy with a little promotion on TV. I don't see them winning the MTV2 award, simply because MCR is freakin' huge right now.
But hey, let's not lie - everyone will still watch. Kanye's going to be amazing.

they deserve to get this exposure, as long as they don't change and their egos get huge (which i dont think they have) their music is still really good. and i think they deserve to win the award too, itll either be them or my chemical romance, and id rather have them win it over mcr, so i guess we'll just have to see.

I'm actually quite pissed at Fall Out Boy, they pulled out of the european dates and as far as I can remember they stated "personal reasons" not 'MTV asked us to play at the awards on the same day'. It's fucked when bands do this, I remember New found glory did it last year, but at least they came straight out and said we've been asked to do something for the MTV awards. I've lost quite a bit of respect for Fall out boy because of this. Never mind it was their chance to break the UK by playing on the main stage at the Carling festival.
My chemical romance found themselves in the same situation this year, they decided to play both festival sites on the same day AND attend the VMA's.
