Daddy, daddy, can we spend some time?
Can you afford to hear my rhyme?
Could we play a little ball?
Instead of laughing when i fall

You were never there,
Why were you never fair?
spread your love to a distant whore
but ignore your son with an open door.

You always talk of love,
and what would jesus do,
but i doubt even the one above,
wants anything to do with you

Thanks for the thoughtful card,
Oh, wait, that was Mel
I wish I was a bastard,
Id joyfully damn you to hell

There are no happy pictures,
not even with smiles fake
I lived my whole life,
Were you even awake?

All I wanted was a father
which i had to see in others
Im sorry I was such a bother,
but i never needed extra mothers

Im my mom's biggest fan
She has loved enough for you
Im a growing young man
and your an asshole without a clue

You couldnt pick up the phone,
made me so unbelievably sore
Now your all alone,
What are you good for?

Your getting what you deserve
Your reaping what youve sewn
No one holds love for you in reserve
I hope you die alone

Not everything has to rhyme. It can use some work. Not the worst ive seen.

well... i am fully aware that not all poetry has to rhyme... as is true for music as well... but for bashing a poem because it does? because its traditional in form, but modern in subject?

thats cool...

its way to repetitive. throw in a few parts with different rhyme schemes, when the whole poem has the same form and its as long as that one it just gets boring.

This sounds like something Good Charlotte would write. Not a bad thing, but maybe not a good thing.

Im sorry I was such a bother,
but i never needed extra mothers

^I liked that part.

It's amazing how many people don't know the difference between 'to' and 'too'
