It was quite a surprise when I heard that fall out boy was playing a secret show here, I knew they were playing the superbowl and pepsi smash and that it was possible.. but the state theatre is a tiny venue compared to what I'm used to seeing them play in. Anyways, all-in-all it was a pretty good show. The set-list was decent also.
here's the set list:
thanks for the memories
thriller
16 candles
estelle/sugar we're going down
i don't care
this ain't a scene
head first
beat it
grand theft autumn
america's suitehearts
dance dance
saturday

Wow, pretty short set compared to their usual, but that's awesome it was such a small show.

Good setlist. Not too many of their new, shitty songs. It'd be fun seeing them play in a tiny venue.

I'm not feeling the whole dance/R&B thing. I've enjoyed all their albums up until the newest.

Wow for a band with 5/6 albums, that sucks that a 12 song set list is cut even shorter with 2 Michael Jackson covers

Thriller is also the name of a FOB song.

Thriller isn't a Michael Jackson cover. And it's four albums...

#1 - Take This To Your Grave
#2 - From Under A Cork Tree
#3 - Infity On High
#4 - Folie A Deux

Not according to people who jumped down my throat in another FOB thread when I said they had five albums and could play a better balance, they said that the band doesn't even csonider EOWYG a LP.

well that's stupid. it still exists, it will never go away  just because they never play an songs from that album doesn't mean it doesn't count. at least that's how i feel.

Where do they get that information from? And what do FOB consider it then?

It's their first album?

I actually heard that the band doesn't consider it a full length as well. However that might just be an internet rumor. I think they had a different drummer for that album...I can't remember all of the facts haha

I know they played Honorable Mention and Moving Pictures when I saw them in 2005, but that was about the last of that stuff being played that I can remember

I would say EOWYG is dead as a set list fixture...

And you're right... Andy wasn't a part of the band at that point. If you look at the album cover, you'll notice the two other guys who covered guitar and drum duties at the time in the band. I'm sure none of this has any impact on their decision to not keep any of EOWYG in the set list. I remember back on their tour with AAR in 2006, they played "Honorable Mention" and the majority of the crowd didn't seem to know the song.

Honorable Mention is still one of my favorites of theirs, along with the full version of switchblades and infidelity

thats such a shitty setlist. you would think at an intimate venue they would play a set comprised of songs other than all singles, minus 2 songs and the cover
