The Starting Line - Based on a True Story
Jack's Mannequin - Everything in Transit (it comes out tomorrow so it counts)
The Spill Canvas - One Fell Swoop

Coheed and Cartel will most likely replace 2 of those when those come out. BTBAM could make a showing as well as ETID.

1.) The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
2.) Thunderbirds Are Now! - Justamustache

6.) Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

Pretty good list I'd say...Don't you think it's a little early to throw New Pornographers up there...I mean Christ didn't the album just come out. I have it but haven't listened to it yet. Wind in the Wires was pretty good as was Thunderbirds, but I don't think they'd be that high for me. Either way, good list.

I hate making lists until it's at least nearing the end of September, because there are so many more releases that are going to kick my ass. As of now though?

1. Armor for Sleep - What To Do When You Are Dead (I'm an obsessed AFS fan, they're first album Dream To Make Believe is my all time faviorte album).

2. Emery - The Question
3. Boys Night Out - Trainwreck
4. A Wilhelm Scream - Ruiner
5. Jacks Mannequin - Everything In Transit

Would make my top 10 list:
Everytime I Die - Gutter Phenomenon
Bright Eyes - Im Wide Awake, It's Morning
Just Surrender - If These Streets...
The Starting Line - Based On a True Story
The Recieving End of Sirens - Between the Heart and the Synapse

and I have yet to hear Thrice, Cartel, and all those other bands that are chalking up hype lately.

Agreed, it had a more dreamy (and original) feel than What To Do When You Are Dead. However, WTDWYAD is not bad by any means, it's easily my faviorte album of the year. The boys worked hard on it, and I didn't truly appreciate it until I heard the songs live.

I'm bad at this stuff, but my favourite album of the year so far is Speak For Yourself by Imogen Heap. I also love Coldplay's X&Y, and Ferocious Mopes by Say Hi To Your Mom.

I'm sure there's plenty more but I can't think of any right now.

I have it.

Set Yourself On Fire came out last year..

Only in Canada. 2005 for the USA.

The Holy Shroud will also be in my top 5. I don't see any other albums that will be in my top ten on these pages. Several Arrows Later will be number one just because its MPPA.

I thought ghost repeaters came out in 2004, it's a good album but it didn't have much staying power with me.

Right now my top ten includes: Thrice, Coheed and Cambria, Emery, Every Time I Die, Death Cab For Cutie, Boys Night Out, Motion City Soundtrack, Sufjan Stevens, Armor For Sleep, and Coldplay.

I have a LOT of albums that I loved, and a very strong top 10-15, but above all else at this point is Emery - The Question. Incredibly well written and performed. I think most people who are true musicians (not garage hXc dipshits) would agree with me.

2. The Starting Line - Based on a True Story
3. Mae - The Everglow

5. Either Acceptance or Copeland

The Starting Line - Based on a True Story
Jack's Mannequin - Everything in Transit (it comes out tomorrow so it counts)
The Spill Canvas - One Fell Swoop
Acceptance - Phantoms
The Higher - Histrionics

Coheed and Cartel will most likely replace 2 of those when those come out. BTBAM could make a showing as well as ETID.

I suck at keeping up with new music but my #1 album of the year is Say Anything-Is A Real Boy. You're saying, but it was released last year. It's being re-released next month and this album has affected me in a way I didn't think possible. MCS could be a distant 2nd.

I really wasn't a fan of Circa Survive. My pick as of now is new Thrice, regardless of the hype. I think it's fantastic.

And yea, while The Fall Of Troy''s album was worse than their first one, it was still better than Cartel, Thrice and Circa.
