I was surprised I did not see anything about TMZ. It's gotta be a guilty pleasure for more people than just me.

It can be, at few times, entertaining, but the whole idea of the show is absolutely ridiculous.

Paparazzi in general are ridiculous. I guess I am entertained by the questions the cameramen ask the celebs, mainly. Plus for some reason I really like the host. I think it's because he reminds me of an old boss of mine.

One of my friends works on this show. Her hours are absolutely ridiculous. 5am-7pm most days, I can't even imagine.

Are the people actually ON the show some of the cameramen? Sometimes it sounds like they at least go with them. Or do the cameramen just report back to the staff? I've always wondered how that worked. And what does your friend do? Must be a pretty exciting job .. but those hours are strenuous.

She is a "producer", which isn't nearly as high up/powerful as it sounds. Basically there are a bunch of producers who put together the stories that will air on _____ nights episode. They organize the order of the show etc. The people on the show are the producers/people who work in the facility where it's filmed. She's had some parts on the show describing stories/replying to Harvey.

Most of the cameramen and stuff are just paparazzi but I believe some are contracted w/ TMZ exclusively. One time we were picking up a friend from the airport and my TMZ friend saw one of their cameramen waiting at the terminal for celebs, it was pretty random.

I think I've watched the actual show once, but I read the website daily.

That sounds like a really cool job though. I think it'd be fun to organize the order of the show and figure out what gets played. Does she like it? What does she look like? I ask because I watch the show every night. I DVR it but I also scan the website daily, too. I'll probably stop with the website until after I watch the nightly show so things come as more of a surprise.

I'm surprised the two times I've been at LAX I haven't seen paparazzi there.

She likes it, but the hours are rough and the pay isn't great (considering she's got to live in L.A.).

As far as what she looks like, she has brown hair, shes white, lol I don't know. There's so many girls on the show it would be hard to describe exactly what she looks like, you know?

I'll let you know if any brunettes talk on the show from the night before then maybe I can find out who your friend is. :-) I work for a nonprofit organization so I am struggling in Orange County with that as well. I'm sure this TMZ job will open the door for her to better things eventually though!

Why does Harvey always have that damn drink?

i like the staff that introduces the pieces but man those cameramen seem like some of the most socially awkward weirdos.

Haha I don't know and he's usually got his mouth on the straw it's like ok how delicious could that drink be? I wonder what it even is.

Glad I'm not the only one!

Question for you guys- what celeb(s) are you surprised about after watching this show? In other words, who are you surprised about being rude? Who are you surprised about being nice?

For me I'm surprised Jake Gyllenhaal is so rude and I am VERY surprised George Clooney and Brad Pitt seem so nice!

Probably Jessica Alba. After watching TMZ and hearing about her on a few blogs, she seems like a total bitch to me. "Lets be Sweden about it"? lol

And yeah, Brad and George seem nice.

I was really surprised with her, too. She seems like a HUGE bitch. I totally did not peg her that way.

They really do. Which makes both of them even sexier.:-d

I love how TMZ gives John Mayer such a hard time. I'm a HUGE JM fan, but it's very funny. Has anyone seen any of the videos TMZ has posted of him?

My housemates watch this everyday, and I'm usually in the same room. Because if the internet, I mostly know about all the 'big' stories ahead of time, and sometimes I shake my head at how trivial some of the stuff the talk about it. But overall it's a great way to kill a half hour before prime time.

One thing that bugs me is whoever does the voice overs for some of the stories. It kind of sounds like the head dude (Harvey or something?) putting on a whacky voice, but I can't be sure. Bugs the hell out of me, though.

I love how whenever there is an attractive female, Max (the blonde surfer guy) always is like "Dude, she's so hot". haha
