Days Away (http://www.daysawaymusic.com/) will be finishing up summer with a string of great shows. Fresh from several special performances with Eisley, the Philadelphia band set out with Steel Train and Limbeck yesterday and will be with them until August 28th, when they will pick up with The Juliana Theory and Lovedrug. Days Away's debut album MAPPING AN INVISIBLE WORLD is out now on Fueled by Ramen records. Produced by Neil Avron, (Yellowcard, New Found Glory) MAPPING AN INVISIBLE WORLD is an expansive, atmospheric album rich with thickly layered melodies, inventive drum parts and shimmering guitars. Alternative Press rated the album 5 out of 5 and called their songs "melodic, semi-experimental rock gems" that are "flawless and accessible."

on a related note: the amount of news posted on this site is getting out of control recently, my reviews are on the page for like 4 hours before they're wiped out, there's probably near 2 full pages of news today!

school should never stop you from seeing a good show. i made it to the days away / limbeck shows on monday and tuesday night despite class -- even if i did have to drive over 300 miles round trip to do so.
you shouldn't let anything stop you from seeing / supporting your favorite bands.
on the topic of the shows -- both of them were absolutely outstanding -- though OKC takes the cake over tulsa. OKC was just a big party. everyone was so happy -- the way everyone should be when the limbeck band plays. in tulsa people just weren't that into it -- but the bands were great -- even if it did seem like i had my own private days away show with 7 other people.
if you have a chance to see this tour -- don't miss it.
How many listens to this album did it take for you people to love it? Ive probably been through it 10 or 12 times as an entire album and im still not head over heels about it, then again it took me a couple months to fall in love with Gatsby's...now its a confusing concept to me that I ever didn't love Gatsby's.
Maybe its just one of those things that all of a sudden clicks when you aren't paying attention and one of the song pops in your head at a time when you cant listen to it, then you go home and play it and love it from then on.

That's why I love AbsolutePunk.
No one ever answers my questions around here.

I liked it the first time - esp "God and Mars", but I appreciated the album as a whole after 5 or so spins. There, I answered yor question. :)
