Is anyone else disappointed with this? I gave it so many tries and kept being optimistic that it would grow on me, but I keep turning to .. whatever the old one's called.

Does anyone even like BNO?

I agree with you. I'm not a big fan of it at all. I do like the track "Medicating" a lot however.

Their first album should never have been released, as it was one of the most derivative albums I've heard. Their second album is bad, but it's not as bad as the first.

Yea, I agree that Medicating is good, and I think one or two others, but overall, the CD bores me. I think they should've stayed away from the story or whatever they have going through the CD. It got them trying to create moods for what would be going on, and it's just not how the old CD was at all.

And I just asked if anyone liked it because I don't seem to catch too much chatter about them.

I'm not a fan at all, can't stand them, their screamier stuff is ok but apart from that i don't really like them

I listen to that CD more for entertainment value than for musicianship. He can't sing and nothing sounds all that difficult, but its fun. Sue me.

i love the new cd as well. it took some time to get used to, but once you get past the fact that it's different, you can really appreciate what they were trying to do on this record.

It took a little while for me to get into the new CD, but once I sat down and really listened to it and actually listened to the story, I really like it.

the story that the lyrics tell is amazing. i love the how the guy describes everything in the intro/outro tracks too.

See, I think that's what really got me into the CD. I didn't really listen to it when it first leaked, but after I heard what the story was I listened to it on my trip to Texas and I really got into it.

Trainwreck is better than Make Yourself Sick, musically and lyrically.

i was the same way. the leak didn't impress me, but a few weeks ago, i was driving to arizona and decided to put on the full cd and after hearing the intro, it all started coming together for me, and i listened to it nearly non-stop for the rest of the trip.

Yeah I did the same thing, when we were driving to Penn. I just threw it in my CD player and became almost obsessed with the record and band. I love how they have all these signature BNO things still put in the album, they can pull off some of the best gang vocal and handclap segments. The story is pretty awesome, and it's really cool how they don't just go out and tell the story, but they use metaphors, like when he kills everyone in "Composing" they use the "song in my head, the one where the audience is all dead" and "we're having strychnine and sorlion (sp? on both) port wine and paint thinner" to emphasize the murders. It's neat. Boys Night Out is awesome, and one of the nicest groups I've met, that makes it all the better.

The lyrics in that person's sig are almost as incredibles as Senses Fails.

i didn't really like "make yourself sick". the songs all sounded the same, they just ran together. but the new one, "trainwreck", is kick-ass. a step up, both musiclly and lyrically. it did take a couple spins to get used to, but i haven't been able to stop listening to it since.

I think this cd is really hit or miss for a lot of people. My friends all don't really like it but i like it a lot and honestly i don't see what theres not to like. It's pretty solid. Equally as good if not better than their last disk. I think it's just one of those cds you have to listen to like 3 times before you start to really like it. give it another try maybe?

You're a really tough person to get along with, I imagine. They're not really lyrical lyrics if that makes any sense, it's just a part of the story (well a few parts) where he goes to sever his hands. He keeps repeating that line. Whatever.
