how does a band go from putting out a huge pile of shit like Mute Print... to putting out a great album like Ruiner, and why aren't more bands doing this?

Some bands don't turn to shit. It's just sometimes their first album is so great that people expect them to top the first one. I haven't heard anything off Ruiner but A Wilhelm Scream has always put on a good live show when I've seen them so no comment from me. Ruiner is good though?

I think mute print was a good album. There are parts on Ruiner that are lyrically atrocious...and just well...ruin the song. Sorry for the pun. It my opinion those parts, which are kind of frequent, really bring down the album
