Do infractions expire?

Probably like a week ago I got an infraction for posting "first" on a news story. I apologized, I took it out, I got it. I won't do it again. Suddenly today on my home page it popped up that I had gotten an infraction point for that, but also that it expired yesterday. Is that true?

Well obviously I wouldn't do the same mistake again, I was just wondering if it really did expire so I'm back to good old 0. Thanks for answering my question. :-)

I got a warning infraction but it says it doesn't expire until 12/31/09. Really?

One point warnings generally last a year, so yes.
