Radiohead (http://www.radiohead.com/) currently do not have a home for their next album. Thom Yorke has left many criptic messeges on the "Dead Air Space" blog about his dissapointment with the current ways of EMI records:
"we have no record conntract.
as such.
any offers?..what we would like is th e old EMI back again, the nice genteel arms manufacturers who treated music a nice side project who werent to bothered about the shareholders. ah well
not much chance of that....."
and
"still no conntract
we would at least expect to get a few poultry pennies
if downloaded rather than nothing at all
sorry im being told to be quiet
what do i know."

It's really pitiful that such an influential band like Radiohead is recieving the shaft like that.

They could sell a bazillion copies of their next album without any label backing them at all, probably.

shit, i'll put up the money for it. i'll fucking charge it to credit cards. if anything is worth spiraling into a smothering, unescapable debt, this has got to be it...
It amazes me how Kelly Clarkson can get 6 pages worth of replies and Radiohead doesn't even get a full page.
What is this cyberworld coming to?

i like the direct shot at EMI's shadiness behind dealing arms...much like Kevin Devine did.
seriously, Capitol has got to stop signing bands with a concious.

It would be interesting if they decided to self-release the album... but I'm sure another major is going to pick them up.
I forgot to add, these messeges were taken down minutes after Thom posted them......

If it doesn't sound like Pablo Honey I will start my own record label to support it

yeah really, why don't they just release it themselves...unless they just want to see which label can make them the most money. geez i guess they don't seem much different from those money hungry shareholders

The album is going to sound completely different than their other albums aparently, like how "Kid A" was a lot different than their previous works and was a huge step for them musicly, this album is said to do the same thing though according to Thom, it won't sound like "Kid A". I'm guessing it will be more of a post-rock (like Godspeed You Black Emperor or Sigur Ros) sound however you never can predict what great ideas come out of the mind of a genius such as Thom Yorke.
