I don't recall them doing "From the Second I wake up" on their tour with Bayside but they normally incorporate it into every tour.

Houston Calls played 8 songs, 4 of which I knew. They alternated between CD's....they played one from the new one, then one from the old one, and so on:

It was so depressing to know that there were only about 25 people there...which is probably why we got shafted. Dallas shows very little love for Valencia, which is very saddening. But even still, I had a blast. They put on an amazing show.

The venue kinda sucked. The bands did pretty well considering. There was a really good turn out, very young (supposedly the place normally only allows teens...)

I wasn't too into the two local bands that opened the show.
Fight Fair was awesome, the crowd loved them and they put on areally good show. I hadn't been too famiiar with them before but they won me over.

It had been so long since I'd seen Houston Calls, I'd forgotten how much fun they are live. They were a blast. From what I could tell they didn't change up the setlist from the first leg of the tour.

Valencia killed it. One of the best sets i've seen in a long time.

Last night when they were taking request my friend asked for Carry On and Brendan told us that he couldn't...

So after the show I asked why, and he said that it was just slower and the crowd doesn't get into as much. He also said it was his favorite song of the album and that maybe they would play it if they did an acoustic set or something!

The first two line-ups were SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER. I mean, there are a handful of bands I could busy myself with watching on either day, but not that I want to see so badly that I'm willing to spend that much. I'm too cheap for that shit haha. As long as you're going though, can I make some recommendations? Are you going both days?

The first two line-ups were SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER. I mean, there are a handful of bands I could busy myself with watching on either day, but not that I want to see so badly that I'm willing to spend that much. I'm too cheap for that shit haha. If you have time I highly recommend watching Artist vs Poet and the Jakes on day one. AvP played the first half of Say No to Neon and I fell in love. Totally fun, catchy pop punk stuff. The Jakes are actually local to OC and Sameer, the singer, has the most beautifully soothing soulful voice. They're almost kinda funky/jazzy, but still poppy and fun. Aaaaand for day two, try to catch Eye Alaska. They played super early last year, but they're local too and very lovely gentlemen. Also, I want a full report of everyone you watch hahaha. I must live vicariously through you for this.

For a cheesy pop rock band, they're good at what they do. After seeing them on the last tour, I've been playing them a ton and the lyrics have begun to sound a little cliche and silly, but it's just fun music. Thus I do not mind at all. They're definitely fun to see live though.
