Great song! Great Review! Kevin Devine is an amazing artist. I am just really hoping that his talents aren't overlooked by Capitol, since he has recently swtiched from Triple Crown.

"No Time Flat" is worth checking out, as well.

Awesome stuff, i love Kevin Devine and that review was top notch. But man does afterparty sound exactly like Lua to me...is it just me? Still this was one of my favorite albums released all year.

awesome review and i agree very wholeheartedly... im so happy for him getting signed to a major, its all about the music seriously, b/c his fan base isnt huge so congrats to him... the scenes changing in a big way and its a revolution... all these bands signing to majors are about to challenge all that music todays about and its amazing... we've got kevin devine, say anything, cassino, and coheed all signing to majors and thats only the beggining

capitol is rumored to have dibs on cassino (so im not for sure, but if they dont get signed to a major then something is fucking wrong with the world and i dont think theyd turn it down b/c theyre in a tight money situation)

and say anything is on j records or something, i think its new, but im not positive

that was a great review and i have to agree with what was said. i did feel the album was a little unbalanced by the placement/number of fast paced to slow paced songs on it. i love the album but if i'm not in the mood to listen to it, i do end up skipping a few tracks to get to my favorites. this guy deserves so much credit. amazing.

Yeah, but Northstar wasnt on a major, and that is fucked up. I think Cassino has less mainstream appeal than NS, but I love em both.

You know, I noticed this, and was going to add it to my review, but at the end I figured I'd already made the Conor comparison, and didn't want to play it too strongly. I read too many reviews and criticisms of Kevin Devine, and though I wanted to note it, I didn't want to overplay it.

Thanks for posting this on the main site, Jason. I'm glad that people have had such positive comments about the review. I'd definitely like to work for the site if I "make the cut", and don't end up cute without the e (Horribly lame, I know).

Great review, one of the best I've read on the site. I love this ablum so much and you hit every point that needed to be made about it. I hope to read more reviews from you in the future. Keep up the great job.

I'm torn between Cotton Crush and No Time Flat. You couldn't get me to pick a favorite overall. NTF has better lyrics, but as for melody.... CC wins.
