Soo...White Oleader was on Lifetime the other day, and I decided to finally watch it. And I was just blown away! It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.. And I picked up the book from the library, just started it yesterday. It's also excellent! Has anyone else seen the movie or read the book? Cause I really, really recommend them both to all of you.

I read the book a couple of years ago, and it's one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend it, too. It's an incredible story. I have the movie as well, but I would have to say that it's a disappointment in comparison.

I watched this like 1 1/2 years ago or something like that, but anyway yeah I liked it a lot, too. it was pretty sad.

One of my favorite books. The movie was pretty good, but not nearly as good as the book. But isn't that always the case?

I've read the book several times (and own it), and I've seen the movie. The movie was good, it had good acting, did the girl who played Astrid ever go on to do anything? She was a pretty good actress. The book was way better though, it had more detail, and I love details.

I don't know how to feel about this movie. I liked it, but I had to force myself to keep watching some of the scenes. Dunno...not really my type of movie I guess?

I must say, I'm almost halfway through the book now, and I'll have to agree with you all. The book is better than the movie. I love how it goes into how Astrid's mother met Barry and stuff...unlike in the movie..

It's a good movie, but it's not fantastic. It's alright, but there's a lot of movies like these that are so emo and over the top that it's not great. Some parts were very realistic, but some parts... well, weren't. Inconsistancies take you out of the film.
