So basically I've been sleeping on the pop-punk scene, but I'm back and ready for some good recs. But, I want to stay away from the electronica pop-punk bands (if you can even still call them that) like We the Kings, Metro Station, Cash Cash, Breathe Carolina, Forever the Sickest Kids, and bands of that ilk.

The danciest I'll get is Every Avenue, because they kick ass.

Alright, recommend me stuff in the vein of:
Every Avenue
All Time Low
The Maine
The Years Gone By
Hit the Lights
Mayday Parade
Farewell
The Friday Night Boys
The Audition

nothing that is just some local unsigned hype, and bands that actually have releases please and thanks.

i like This Time Next Year already; other than that, that "Love In This Club" cover by The Summer Set just fucking floored me.

hell yeah man, just listened it was good. the fact that they gave the background singer lead duties this time around was interesting and it worked. now i'd like to hear interplay between him and the max bemis sounding guy in the band.

Max Bemis had a guest spot on the new EP's opener ("I Can Get Back Up Now"), but I'm pretty sure YMAEWK's lead singer remains the same. He just doesn't sound just like Max anymore.

I don't know whether you are interested but it sounds like you used to be into the pop punk back in the day, maybe brand new, spitalfield, the movielife used to be your thing, well theres a band bringing it back to the old skool while still being original, check em out - KYOTO DRIVE - www.mysapce.com/kyotodrive (http://www.mysapce.com/kyotodrive) - their EP is free download!
