I'm an avid Story of the Year listener and supporter.
I'm curious as to what the big fuss is with some of you.... Why do the haters hate?

i hate because their music is, to me, boring, repetitive, and dead-ended. by which I mean that none of thier songs seem to go anywhere. plus i find the lyrics to be... not that good. that and the fact that thier live show is more about the fact that "holy shit, their guitarist did a sweet roundhouse dragon kick" rather than "holy shit, their guitarist played a beautiful solo that flowed perfectly with the natural melody and chord progression of the song".

but that's just how i am.

My personal dislike for them stems from their unoriginality. They sound like nearly every other band of the scream/sing formula. Constant songs at mid-tempo with drab lyrics. I do like the occasional song but I don't respect them as a brilliant or genre shattering band. Just my opinion though.

i dont like them because they sound like everything else - lite

they DO have some good tunes...but even those dont really stick out....the lyrics are clichee....the music, although good, is nothing new....i dont know. lets just see what the new one sounds like

i dont find anything really that bad with them their lyrics are about dying days and stuff which isnt the most clever thing ive heard but they put on good shows

yes indeed , but i don't like them that much ,but i just hate it when one person says : they suck , that everyone follows, the same with senses fail and HH ok i don't like them either , but i'm sure people who like them follow the rest and say they suck and that's too bad, because that's just not the way it should be , if you don't have your own opinion , you lose my respect

they do put on a good show though.
