I agree, once again with you; there is a time and place for everything, and I'm not into rap or hip-hop at all. I was back in my high school days, but those are long gone and now I haven't listened to anything like that since then.

the jay z unplugged thing they did was awesome also

i consistently find myself listening to Jay-Z 'Unplugged'. Jay-Z does have one of the best flows in the game (when he applies himself), and it was never more prevelant than on that disc. The Roots band were the perfect accomplice to make that work, and it just comes off awesome. It's like a greatest hits disc, but even better cause the Roots are there.

oh and Kanye shouldn't be featured....more i listen to that disc, more disappointed I am in it. give me the College Dropout over and over again.

ya that cd is fantastic...rap and hip hop would fair so much better with talented musicians playing the live music. hence the roots time and time again putting out incredible albums
