Yeah I know he went, and so did quite a few of the Brits from here (haha I just dont know their names). They will be kicked out the camping ground today I think, haha so theyll be back soon..it ended last night.

I went to Leeds Festival, was pure awesome. Last night was insane, Foo Fighters headlined (awesome performace then it was one huge party...there was just fires lit everywhere and explosions from gas cannisters, haha.
One of THE best weekends ive ever had.

Rise Against were fantastic, huge sing-a-longs and one of the highlights of the weekend for me.
Alkaline Trio...hmmm, not the biggest fan and the sound was pretty poor to be honest...Time to Waste was pretty painful to listen to.
Bloc Party, 4th time ive seen them and every time is awesome, the whole place was bouncing when Banquet got played.

My mate just got back from it and said it was pretty good, i didn't fancy it though, i don't really like any of the bands that were on the bill

i was there too. first time i've been. the riots last night were awesome to watch, but so fucking scary! i was standing on a hill in red camp watching people jumping through fires, setting explosions off, bottling the riot police & then trying to rock the fire engine over.
the bands were great, yesssss. but the whole experience was just.. wow. really surreal seeing that many people. me & my mates went on a proper scavenging session this morning - the people near us had burnt their tent & left pretty much all their belongings behind so we stole a stereo and various other good things. heh.
that was a nice essay.
favourite bands: biffy clyro, blood brothers, ARCADE FIRE, arctic monkeys, futureheads. yes.

Yeah it was a truly amazing weekend, for both the music and the general atmosphere in the campsites.
Mps, Alkaline trio's sound levels were slightly fucked and they were a bit quieter than the should've been and the crowd didn't get as into it as i'd hoped, but i thought they were really good. Funeral were faultless, i really enjoyed their set., and Bloc party closed the festival with an awesome performance.

Sounds like awesome stuff, too bad I missed it..ah well, I'm seeing alkaline trio at a festival thing on friday, so its all good.
I've only been to Reading once before, and I know I will never forget it, it was an amazing experience.

not really stealing though! they'd abandoned the stuff. we managed to snaffle an unopened box of pringles to eat on the way home. haha. and my mate took a sleeping bag & i got myself like 10 cans of beer that they'd left. seriously, they'd left EVERYTHING except their clothes. crazy...

haha no it was cold because it'd been outside all night.
and we were going to take advantage of it: we bought a 4-pack of tesco value lager for 88p and were going to try & swap it for carling. but then we forgot. would've been amusing...

its all about Brown... if you were in brown you woulda probably seen all my mates - i didn't go though... didnt wanna pay £120 for a few good bands

i'd rather wait til next year and get a decent lineup

If the lineup is decent next year I will definatly be going..plus I might be going to uni at Reading or Leeds..either would pretty much rock. Tix will sell out in a day next year though..

yea, alot of people i know go every year nm what the lineup is, but i just can't do it... i can just stay at home and have a fucking great weekend anyway - which i did.

Hmnn hopefully English and Television. I totally fluked a C in English this year hahhaa :P i have no idea how i did it. So hopefully i can get good grades again this year so i'll be able to go to uni there, that will be awesome cos most Reading Uni campuses are like 20 minutes drive away from my doorstep. What are you thinknig of doing there?

Either Physics and Meteorology as a combined course. Or just Meteorology, or physics and the universe. Havent decided yet haha.

I thought the lineup was awesome, it suprises me people say there was only 5 or 6 good bands? thats crazy talk, i saw 5 or 6 good bands in one afternoon...
I thought Acade Fire were just fantastic, 2nd time ive seen them and there a band i could never ever get sick of.
