Death Cab For Cutie, NOY, Cursive, Q and Not U type stuff.

what do you mean by indie? because a lot of genres fall under the indie category. do you mean like, indie pop? I think that's what you mean since you brought up "emo".. and indie pop is "slow" and often sad. I could be wrong though. anyway, if you're more specific, I'd be able to recommend some bands/musicians.
