for a while every band had the A Skylit Drive formula going and these guys still do

I'm pretty sure they're nice dudes but fuck that music is horrible and REALLY played-out

eastern part of PA trumps it trust me, the 570 and 610 area codes are filled with kids that have the shittiest taste in music you will ever see. their bands display this perfectly

i grew up right outside of wilkes-barre and have been going to shows for quite a while now and have seen a lot of really shitty bands.

but i have never seen shittier bands than out here in the 814 where i go to college.

I was at warped when TDWP called Novella out I thought it was really cool of them to call out Novella out on the shit talking they were doing.
I did too. Sadly, a majority of the people I've encountered at local shows since disagree with TDWP and thinks Novella is better than TDWP. I laughed in all of their faces.

St. Louis is also infested with these bands. The horrible thing about that is every year, the local "alternative rock" station The Point throws Pointfest and always has a local stage. Guess who fills up the line-up?

Really now? Is Novella that well-known outside of the St. Louis area? I never understood why they had such nice layouts when they have only 1400 friends or so, most of which are 15 year old girls who want a million friends on Myspace.My friend is in a deathcore band and he told me they payed they guy who did Paramore's layout. Somehow I doubt that.

Had no idea that Cold World and An Albatross were 570 to be honest.

I've seen Three Man Cannon live a while ago, they were alright... but I think it was their first show. Also, went to see Dirt Vultures but had to leave before they played. Was pretty mad about that. Never heard of Das Black Milk/Elk Forever/Kite Party and I don't like the sw!ms.

So true... We had one really sweet local band, called Ameris. My friend was their bassist. http://www.myspace.com/theamerisparty You can download their EP, album, and another random song for free from there. They actually cared about their music, and even more so, their friendship. Then, some members moved away for college. :-(
