So i was looking in there and i cant seem to find the urge to post because basically no regulars post in it anymore, and its basically the newbies that post in it. I should clear up how I view this whole situation, because i'm on the side of Sam/Louise/whoever else who thinks that it's being overrun. It's not that I don't want to give people a chance. If anything, in the time i've been here, i've always preached that no one should be excluded because of their registration date or whatever. I don't know if everyone grasps the fact that new members are what keep a forum alive or not, but that's the way it is. Eventually the regulars of today are going to be gone and this forum will be inhabited by people who are just now registering or people who are yet to register but will. I've also always felt (In all the time i've been message boarding, and it's been quite a while now.) that the whole newbie title isn't about when you register, it's about the attitude you take on. Some people will never really fall into that retarded newbie stage, while others will never get out of it. You shouldn't just close the door on people because they're new, you should close the door on them if they're moronic and they bring down the quality of the forum.
None of the people who have really started heavily frequenting the DF thread fall into that moronic category. They all seem like cool people and all that jazz, and that's why I didn't want to make this thread when I first noticed it was starting to happen. This whole thread basically says 'You guys are new, you suck, get out of our thread.' and I don't want to put off that attitude, because that's not me. It never has been and it never will be. The reason this whole situation kinda sucks isn't so much because new people are basically running the thread now, it's more crappy because the people who hung around in that thread and made it fun for me are practically gone these days. Rather or not that ties into so many new people posting, I don't know, but most of the people I really know on this forum have more or less bailed on that thread. I still post in it because it's the only thread I can really enjoy regularly posting in, but it has gone downhill greatly lately. I don't say that trying to insult anyone, because it's not my intention at all, it's just the way I see it. People are talking about how newbies are always excluded, the regulars of that thread are probably the one's who feel excluded right now.
I really don't mean any of that or anything regarding this situation as an insult to anyone though, so hopefully none of you take it that way. It's just my two cents.

I missed the first couple months of that thread, but in the time i've hung around in it, i've never seen a bunch of newer members completely take it over like this. But you guys should really not be so overdramatic. Chill. It's just a message board. We're all here to have a good time instead of drama. In fact, I'm sure a lot of us come here to escape real life drama, so arguing here is just.. pointless and it does no one any good.
