Sounds like With Honor which makes me very happy. There is more stuff going on with the guitars and stuff than past efforts which is cool. This cd will have me two stepping all over my bedroom when it comes out, I guarentee it.

Give it a few months and With Honor threads will be filled with posts.

I think this song is decent. It reminds me of Sum 41... while I like Sum 41, I'd rather have the old With Honor back. We'll see what happens with the rest of the album.

holy crap, you are dead on with that comparison.

i brought my brother in the room to ask him who it was... "i know this..... sum 41?"

hahahaha

After a few more listens: if the rest of the album sounds like this it won't come close to making my top 10 this year. With Honor rules live though. The old material is amazing.

Were you listening? The whole song is power chords and octaves. All of With Honor's old material has much more intricate guitar work.

this sounds like Ignite/Reach the Sky/Good Riddance

which means, it rules

Victory records pretty much ruins hardcore bands now.

There are layers there you probably aren't hearing. There is the dominant power chords and octaves like every other hardcore band but there are ocasional lines thrown into the mix on the verse that are not dominant on the old cds. Its also only mp3's so when the cd comes out things won't be so compressed so stuff like that will be clearer.

Still has nothing on the first ep energy-wise but its still better than most of the crap being passed as hardcore these days.

This was my exact thought! With Honor picked up a copy of Call On My Brothers...which works for me since its one of my favorite hardcore albums to have come out in the 90s.

You have your damn head up your ass if you think this sounds like h2o...

howso? all of the hardcore bands on victory seem to be keeping their integrity well intact. yeah, this song is more melodic than the other stuff they've done, but they've always had singy/melodic parts in their music. they're just exploring it more. apparantly the rest of the record is heavier/screamier than this song, and sounds like their old stuff.

listen to Ringworm and tell me that victory ruins hardcore bands

Fuck Ringworm, listen to Integrity and Deadguy!
while I want to give you credibility for dropping Integrity and Deadguy, that fuck Ringworm nonsense isnt going to fly here

and if we're going into the victory back catalog, listen to SKARHEAD
