I'm not sure how many of you have seen this particular film but it's excellent. The IMDB link is above for the ones who haven't. Those of you that have, here is a thread you can talk about it in. Tom Waits (among others) are great. I love the plot and the execution of it, makes it all the better.

Need to watch this again.

I didn't like it whatsoever, but the praise it gets among people I know makes me feel like I missed something.

More then a little late but I thought I'd throw it out there to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I like this movie quite a bit, despite the fact that it really messes up with the pacing and kind of falls apart towards the end. It's a really good concept, though I don't know how close it resembles the short story or whatever it is based on.

It's pretty much worth watching for Tom Waits and the Gogol Bordello song.

Thanks for the reminder. I meant to watch this around the time it came out, but it completely slipped my mind.

The character Eugene is based on the frontman of Gogol Bordello, they even have the same name.

Tom Waits is a fantastic individual.

Yeah, I picked up on that. It was weird because it was just so close to the character of Alex in Everything is Illuminated, who was played by Eugene Hütz.

That's actually a movie I would recommend to anyone who liked this one. Great flick, same sort of road-trip journey feel to it.

I've heard tons about it but never saw it. I guess I should now.

It's slipped your mind for two + years? Hah. Anyways, you'll enjoy it. Good luck.
