What used to be a staple in the sports forum, I think we need to bring back the Daily poll/discussion thread.
Anyways, Madison Square Garden was set on fire this week by Kobe Bryant's 61 point outburst and Lebron James' 52 point 11 assist 10 rebound display. Which are you more impressed by? Which do you think we will be more memorable?
Lebron accounted for at least 74 points if you add in the assists, and that's assuming none were on three pointers (I know a couple probably were) plus 10 rebounds. Throw in two blocks for Lebron and my choice is easy. Shooting wise Kobe's performance was far more impressive but all around game and athleticism it's not even a contest in my mind.

gotta be Lebron because of the triple double...Kobe had 0 rebounds and only 3 assists, so he wasnt involved in as many plays as Lebron was

exactly what I was gonna say....and add in the fact that Kobe had just dropped 60+ on them, you'd think the Knicks would be committed to not allowing another player go 50+, and yet, there went LeBron.
The best part is that ESPN basically called it...they were taking guesses the day before on how much LeBron would drop

i dont want to vote on this one =(
haha but lebron definitely had the better night.
Lebron. Sure Kobe had 9 more points but Lebron had 8 more assists and 10 more rebounds. It was a more well-rounded game from Lebron but I'm not taking anything away from Kobe.

Lebron, no question. Kobe dominated, but Lebron's triple double puts him over the top.

even with this lebron's performance was still better

Give the man the trip dub.
I'll go with LBJ for the reasons already given. He played a more complete game.

So ridiculous...like LeBron having 8 instead of 7 triple doubles is gonna give him the MVP? Or like he'll end his career with 81 instead of 80, and get left out of the HOF? As a statistician, that's a tough play to see which way it goes in live action...and in the end, it really doesn't matter which way it went
The most points scored for a triple double since 1976, I'm gonna go with that (plus didn't Lebron sit out part of the 4th with craMps?).
Edit: haha, damn "m"

more impressive, lbj no doubt
but most memorable would probably be kobe because of the fact that he had mvp chanted at him at the end

it's amazing how much funnier a sentence can be when you forget an m.

i just think the fact that that happened will make it a lot more memorable than the stat lines by themselves

Lebron - thank god the Rangers retired Adam Graves' number so New York fans had something to cheer about at MSG besides getting their asses kicked.
Do you think Knicks fans would rather have seen the Knicks win those 2 games and not seen Lebron and Kobe's performances or vice versa?
