My top five would definitely be:
1. Nirvana- 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'- changed the face of music, such an impact
2. Beastie Boys- 'Fight for Your Right'- introduced an entire genre to the masses
3. Ok Go- 'Here It Goes Again'- one word threadmills
4. A-ha- 'Take On Me'- everyone knows it and is paritied everywhere and simply awesome given technology
5. Van Halen- 'Hot for Teacher'- straight-up 80's hair metal greatness

maybe it's not the best but it is one of my favorites, Thursday- Ladies and Gentleman: My Brother the Failure.
