Here's a message from Bodyjar (http://www.bodyjar.com):

Thanks to all of you who came along to the Green Room gig in Canberra last Sat. we had a grand ole' time in your town. Didn't see lil' Johnny Howard at the gig...just as well.

Only 1 week to go until the new 'Jar LP is released. Can't wait to see what all you guys think of it. If you've been listening to Tripple-J over the weekend you may have hear "Another Minute". It's been getting a few spins. Tom has personally shrink wrapped every CD in his special home made plastic & may or may not have caused a few localised house fires.

"Lights Out" came in at no.6 on the Net-50 which is acceptable but we've got to get it back to no.1 this week! Besides, I contacted Shihad & they told me to bugger off so I sent a telex to Gyroscope & they said to apologise for being no.1 stating that "It must be rigged man" If everyone puts in a gallant voting effort this week we should be able to get back to no.1 to coincide with the new LP being released. http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/net50/default.htm (https://secure.ceteranet.com:2096/horde/services/go.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.abc.net .au%2Ftriplej%2Fnet50%2Fdefault.htm )

C'mon.............I know you can do it.

Stay tuned for the announcement of a special competition to celebrate the release of the new LP. If you've ever wanted to own every single Bodyjar release (Including some stuff that the band members themselves haven't got), cool & rare merch, studio memento's + an exclusive Bodyjar tattoo (yes, that's right, a proper one complete with pain & ink etc.) then this could be comp for you. We'll announce the details on the site later this week.

We are happy to announce some more dates on our "Call To Arms" National tour:

Friday 21st Oct: Loxton, Loxton hotel SA

Thursday 10th November: Zoo Brisbane

Friday 11th November: Coolongatta Hotel Gold Coast

Saturday 12th November: Maroochydore Tavern TBC

Check out the site for all the other dates through OCT/NOV
Stay happy,

The 'Jar.

i still rate them as one of the most fun bands to watch. i think they are one of australia's best artist's. i mean i hope you guys dont know who delta goodrem is. she is considered the best thing to recently come out of the australian music scene.... it soughta makes me ashamed to be australian. isnt bodyjar on nitro in the states? like wont it get released over there? it could save you on shipping charges

the last Nitro release was How It Works. Plastic Skies was never released in the US, and I highly doubt the new album will be either.

How it works was good, I thought it was too over produced. Bodyjar are defintly a live band. thats got to suck donkeys balls though you cant get a good band like that locally released.
i know how you feel though. like all my cd's come from the states. so i do a purchase once a month of cd's to try and save on shipping.
i would of assumed some label would pick them up in the states.

Hey Jason you really love your Bodyjar don't you. I haven't heard any of this album but it won't beat Plastic Skies. That album was just awesome pop-punk. They put on a great show too.

I'd just like to point out that we don't use the word "shrimp". They are prawns people!

Bodyjar own, by the way. Can't wait to see them again.
