What is everyones opinion on it, and the 2 tiers of pricing for it

and has anyone preordered it?

i preordered the $399 version, its obviously the best deal, considering the hard drive it includes alone cost 100 bucks, and the wireless controller it includes

unless I win one in this every ten minutes thing, Im holding out for revolutions. I was bored one day and I made a bunch of gmail accounts for the every ten minutes thing.

i'm probably not gonna get it for a while. i want a new ipod more than i want the xbox 360. plus, i don't play that much of my xbox anymore since i have World of Warcraft.

Yes, the HD will help out in the long run. its better than buying memory cards all the time and its honestly a really good deal since its only $100 more.

Well, it doesn't really matter, 'cause i'll be getting one as soon as Halo 3 comes out

I'll be holding off. The harddrive thing seems like a lot of money for a bunch of game saves... since it is optional you'll find that 80% or so of developers won't utilize it in creative ways.

Plus, I'm not a big fan of most of Microsoft's franchises.

I'll wait for Revolution.

This was one of Xbox's claim to fame in the console war, and I don't recall ever buying a memory card. Some people will hold out on spending that extra money and just buy a simple 64MB stick, using the reason that the upcoming PS3 always holds the greatest RPG franchises (and apparently, the only reason you'd need to save large files). I'm not sure I buy this reasoning, and I'll definately go with the Premium packaging. But is it worth preordering? I'm not impressed with the lineup. Where's the "Halo" of the bunch? Call of Duty is nice, and I want to see NFS's polygon performance (the stills looks sweet, the video? I'll believe it if I see it on my TV), and THUG will be interesting for a day. It's not really "what package", rather "is it worth it now"?

Yeah, i'm not pre-ordering. I will wait six or so months for a price drop and more games.

well then again, with the hard drive, you can rip your cds into the xbox for your listening pleasure anytime or during a game. not to mention listen to any USB accessible music device like an ipod to listen to music, overall that makes it worth it

and cmon being the only kid on the block with one of the most popular items is always fun , costly but fun

This only works if the companies support it. Don't be surprised if most companies don't do it now that a harddrive is optional.

haha, WOW can defianatly keep you attached to the computer. i just don't want to pay 15 bucks every month to play it. :)

I preordered the 399 version, and i went ahead and put 20 bucks down on Perfect Dark Zero which I HOPE releases with the launch. Even though i know how Rare likes to miss their release date. I'm already looking forward to Halo 3, i guess i should find a few other games to hold me over until then..
