Do you think it would still sound good if ti was just a three person band, no horn section? and no second guitar. I love the three person line up, and horn players are hard to find.

I don't think it'd work too well.

depends on what you have for the three members.

You gotta have at least one horn doing lead.

Dude, you could be up there singing and playing accordion, with a harpsichord player on the side, and be playing nothing but german waltz songs. As long as the songs are solid and you can actually sing/play your instruments, it'll be good.

Any band with a harpsichord player is hot. Harpsichord + Flute + Sax + Cello + Sexy woman singing + Telecaster + dw drumset + stand up bass = Best band ever.

no reason why not, ska is a limitless genre, there are no hard fast boundaries or rules. this could turn out for the best in the early days of your band, as writing new music with a horn section can be a little tough for some people if you're not used to it. so the horns coming into things later in the project (if at all) might be a good thing. to be honest, the next member i'd look for to join the band would be a keys/organ player
