On the Nada Recording Studio myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/nadarecording), there is a blog that says The Ataris (http://www.theataris.com/) are still writing and recording for the album there, without Kris Roe:

I had John, Paul, and Sean of The Ataris in the studio writing and recording some more new material while Kris Roe is out doing a solo acoustic tour. These guys are killing it as usual and their new album is ever so close to completion. Be prepared to be shocked before you fall in love all over again.

I just talked to Kris last night and the record is finished, so I don't know what this is.

Kris played me some tracks last week that were demos but still sounded awesome. He said that there were some parts that still had to be filled like one song might have a sax on the super long outro.

They weren't at Nada recording the record, they were recording demos. Nick Launay produced and recorded the album which is finished and about to be mixed.
