Korn are planning a tentative November 22nd release date for their as-yet untitled new album through an as-yet unannounced label.

haven't really been into Korn since "Issues". Everything they do seems to be recycled now. But I'll probably still give this somewhat of a chance.

Meh, I still love this band. Nothing they put out will be as good as their self-titled, and the only album I really don't like as a whole is Untouchables. I heard a couple live tracks off the new CD and it sounds pretty good (or at least would to me, and not to 90% of this board) so I'm really anticipating this new album. Plus, it's only Munky now as a guitarist, so it's interesting to see how that will sound.

Korn sucks now, they sucked 8 years ago, and they'll suck another 8 years from now.
I could make valid points to back up my statement, but Korn isn't worth it.

Korn used to be my favorite band back in the s/t, Life is Peachy era.

i'm not gonna lie. self titled life is peachy and follow the leader are some of the best CDs that i own. i used to really really love that stuff and head & munky w/ their 7 strings are the reason i wanted to play guitar/ be in a band. their more recent stuff is pretty dissapointing though, i would definatly still check it out.

oh? how about you just throw thicker gauge strings on your 6 string and tune down about 4 steps. seeing as they only use like 2 strings, i'm quite sure you'll be able to emulate them quite easily.
not attacking your tastes man, just saying they are far from guitar heroes.

We must be the same age, because I was thinking the exact same thing when I read this news. I literally was taken back to 8th grade picturing my friend Chris wearing this blue Korn shirt with silver letters... and JNCOs, who remembers those? They'd have like 40 inch bottoms. Damn we were cool kids.

Haha JNCOs, I never had any of those because they were too cool for me. My mom wouldnt spend that much money (like $60) on a friggin pair of jeans when we can get them for like $15 at JCPenny or something I don't know.
By the way, we're both the same age. 1985 represent.
Edit: I didn't realize that they had JNCOs in North Dakota. Crazy.

Yeah, in between farming, fucking cows, and trying to incorporate transportation systems, we had time to build a mall here.
Actually, I didn't live here in middle school. I've only lived here the last few years. Most people think I'm from here, but I was born in Boston and have lived everywhere from New York to Missouri. (*grew up a Navy brat*)

i care.
i definitely care.
i'm not going to bring up all of the obvious about how they influenced blah blah. because really, their last few albums have been garbage.
but seriously, they are getting old, they've claimed that it's going to be a lot more industrial (who cares if you're not into that, at least it's different) and also, they'll be doing it without Head. that's going to mean a completely different sound for the band altogether. i grew up on these guys (and all the bands who they passed the torch to) so to see what they do with a new lineup, and a new mindset...
HELL yeah i care.
but seriously, when's the new Deftones coming out?

I care, too. Korn has been one of my favorites since I got away from that horrible rap virus that hit everyone in my middle school...10 years ago...oh my god I'm old. Still excited for the album, though. Thought "Take a Look in the Mirror" was pretty solid.

i'm interested in seeing how the guitars will sound too. head was considered to be much better guitar player.
