In my experience, I find loneliness and depression to be a passive thing. Usually if you try to be active it helps. Go message some people, get in a chat room. Better yet go outside and meet people. I know it's not what you probably want to do if you feel shitty, but it's hard to recommend anything better. Maybe join a club or take up a hobby you can do in public or something.
