I am looking forward to the Sebadoh cover. I'm sure this thing will be available online somewhere.

Just a little fun from the Thrice/Acceptance thread.

i bet columbia made them save the Don Henley cover for the LP, so it can be a hit single.
p.s.: jocke berg is pissed they ruined 747, as his original is one of the most beautiful songs ever.

I've been enjoying for quite some time now. I didn't think Kris wanted this to be a "big deal" though...

Random : My hand is on the cover of one of their dvds. It's the one with the Green Burger King Krusty watch. :)
Are these acoustic covers? Kris's acoustic songs kinda suck. I don't know what it is---- he sounds off key or out of tune or off beat or something.

possibly because they all sound like they were recorded inside of a trash can. i'm serious.
someone needs to rip this bad boy and get it online.

Actually I read somewhere he recorded one of his acoustic songs in a hotel room or hotel room bathroom or something. The acoustic songs on The Ataris live (fake) bootleg ablum aren't as bad as the rest of them though.

Well, that sucks. I can't make it to a show in Colorado. I want to hear that "Car" cover. That song is absolutely lovely.

copy protected as in it comes with one of those "FBI Warning:" things on it? or copy-protected as in the tracks can be traced to who downloads them? or even worse...the songs won't rip at all?

He recorded Heaven is Falling from the Rock Against Bush cd in a bathroom in an airport. Apparently Fat Mike wanted him in the project, but Kris didn't have enough time to record a new song. So he just said "Do what you can. " So in between plane rides he recorded a cover in the bathroom. This is coming from memory off of what he posted on the forum of their site. I thought it was a pretty cool history of the song.
This stuff is pretty sick

the bathroom story rocks, but doesn't exclude the vocal and recording quality on tracks like "Looking Back On Today" (original), "Fast Times At Dropout High" (Acoustic), or "Ben Lee".

Actually I believe he recorded it in the bathroom of an airplane while flying over communist china because sound travels better through the air of communist stratospheres. It's true, I read it on a post here once and we all know everything on here is always true.
