now they're playing beautiful amazing piano pop rock with lyrics in the vein of maybe Say Anything?

Fine if you like the song, but that song against ANYTHING on the new record is an easy choice.

why do people spurt their load over this band? I can see why people like them, but calling it one of the best albums ever, are you crazy? The voice alone makes that impossible.

I think this cd is really amazing. The releases other then this one have not impressed me this year, so it is easy for me to draw the conclusion that this is the "best of the year". This, Jacks Mannequin, Fall Out Boy, and the upcoming I Am The Avalanche CD will be the only albums I think I will buy all year. I'm kinda wondering what could've made other peoples top 10 over this? Cant wait for The Matches in 2006 though!

The Socratic cd is incredible. It's left me singing the line "All we are is Lunch for the Sky" repeatedly at inappropriate times, though.

i'd just like to let everyone know that once upon a time, when socratic first made music in these here parts, they had a song called DK Jungle Parkway. I'm pretty sure it was about Mario kart 64.
