I'm having one of the most amazing weekends of my life so far, and I hope things are going similarly for all of you. Anyways, I had Rob Dobi (http://www.dobi.nu) join me this week, so check out what Rob and myself have been listening to lately below:

Suburban Legends (http://www.suburbanlegends.com) - Rump Shaker is such an amazing album. Every single time I listen to it, it puts me in such a fantastic mood, and i'm a big fan of music like that.

Skratch3 (http://www.skratch3.com) - I've seen alot of people giving these guys a really hard time over their name, but their new album will make your jaw drop. They're the perfect blend of ska, reggae, and rock, so be on the lookout for songs from the record dropping soon.

The Know How (http://www.theknowhow.com) - They've just headed out on the Ska Is Dead 3 tour, and I am so excited to see them this week. Ever since I heard "Daniel Larusso is Going to Fight", i've been completely hooked on this band.

Bedouin Soundclash (http://www.bedouinsoundclash.com) - I'm not sure if i've recommended these guys before or not, but now seems like a good time to do so regardless. These guys are definitely making a name for themselves right now, so do yourself a favour and give them a listen.

Lastly, I recommend going to a fair or carnival next time one is in town. Haha, it seems random, but our local fair was happening tonight, and it was one of the best times i've ever had. Anyways, that's it for this week. I hope you find something you like, and hopefully everybody has a fantastic week!

---------------------------Rob Dobi's Recommendations---------------------------

Fuel The Fire (http://www.myspace.com/fuelthefire) - Ex. Cadillac, Blindside and Dillinger Four, this is the sort of music I live for. They apparently have a few full length on the way and I can't wait.

The Blackout Pact (http://www.purevolume.com/theblackoutpact) - I heard "We Drink So You Don't Have To" on a sampler in the latest issue of Wonkavision and I really dug what I heard. Any band that incorporates gritty vocals, hand claps, and gang vocals into a song is cool with me. Their full length was produced by Geoff Ricley and comes out late September on Astromagnetics.

Mikoto (http://www.mikotomusic.com) - I was recently sent their upcoming EP on Level Plane records and it pretty much rules. Takes off where Taken left off and shows all their hardcore contempories what they are doing wrong. Expect big things from these dudes.

Haram (http://www.harammusic.com) - They've only released a demo and continue the trend of incestuous bands from Northern Virgina (ex. Majority Rule / Pg. 99). These three songs show a ton of promise.

Smoke Or Fire (http://www.purevolume.com/smokeorfire) - Underappreciated VA punk rock. One of my favorite records this year. Used to be known as Jericho from MA. Currently on the Fat Wreck tour.

Agreed on Smoke or Fire, which has somehow ended up as my favorite Fat release this year thus far (yes, that includes AM!).

I already got the new Blackout Pact and it's awesome. Oh and I got it legitamatly, it was at the Thursday CBGB's show. It's funny too cause it's a promo copy, as in one that is supposed to be sent to radio stations. But yeah, it's fucking awesome. They were really fucking cool live too.

That Geoff Rickley is forming quite the roster on his AstroMagnetics label there. I knew there was something I liked about that guy.
