I know that many people say that OK Computer is their best, but I did not want to start with the very best album, so that being said, which one of their albums should I check out first?

Go in order.

Start with In Rainbows then. Solid album, I'd say their third best. Try Hail to the Thief after that, which is hit or miss, but I think provides a better transition to OK Computer. I wouldn't start with Kid A, because you might not find it very accessible to start with. Put Kid A after OK Computer, if you're still liking Radiohead at this point. I'd call Kid A their best, OK Computer a close second.

Go in order. Don't do this. Pablo Honey is crap. The Bends is an alright place to start, I guess, but I stick to my former suggestion.

The Bends and Pablo Honey are both their most accessible albums but between the two of them, they only have one good song ("Fake Plastic Trees"). Plus, they are not really indicative of where the band took their sound. In Rainbows is probably their most accessible (EDIT: that's actually a good record), then OK Computer, then Hail to the Thief, then Kid A/Amnesiac.

K I will do that, I saw In Rainbows at my Circuit City for 40% off. If they still have it tomorrow I will pick it up. Thank you!

Thank you, I will do so. Thanks for the detail man.

OK Computer. But not Kid A, Amnesiac, or Hail to the Thief. OK Computer is their most accessible.

Do people not like Pablo Honey? I think it's a great record. That's the first Radiohead I heard.

Ok Computer is definitley the best place to start out at. It is pretty easy to get into but at the same time it is one of the best albums on the 90's. The Bends is also a pretty good place to start out with but do not start out with Kid A because chances are you won't like it unless you are used to music like this. Kid A is their best but if you have never heard Radiohead before it will probably be hard to like.

People don't like Pablo Honey because it's a shitty album.

The Bends is a great record IMO, it's also probably more accessible then their "better" albums. I think it's a good lead in.

Hail to the Thief is their most accessible in my opinion. It's the only Radiohead album I ever spin. Ever.

It really doesn't matter where you start as long as you listen to them all.
