how is it pathetic. they actually promote all of their bands equally, thats why i love them so much. all of drive-thru's new stuff has completely shocked me, they have really restored my faith.

I agree. you get the Victory threads where everybody bitches about them NOT promoting the bands and then you get a DTR thread and people bitch about them promoting the bads. Mae up your mind!
Also you can find a reveiw of the new Socratic album, Lunch For The Sky at www.heartsandsleeves.com

thats funny. You read that and think that Tate is saying that. I know Tate doesnt have the best taste in music, but I know that hes not dumb enough to make a statement like that about ALLISTER. I highly doubt ALLISTER is capable of pulling off a "flawless" record. Theyre lucky if they can pull of a decent record.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'd sort of agree with you on Jenoah and An Angle, but not steel train. Have you actually listened to their music? It's fantastic. Just because it's not pop-punk you call it shit? I advise you to listen to their music again before calling it shit. You might just enjoy it.

perhaps by flawless you should not jump to the conclusion that they believe it is the best album ever. Perhaps when you hear that comment you should think of it rather as being an album for the fans in every track and every respect of music, vocals, lyrics, replayability, and growth as it pertains to the band and what they are trying to accomplish.
and yes Steel Train is awesome and definately worth a listen and soon after a purchase.
one more thing i hate how people rip on labels and bands suffer. That's as bad as hating a band because they made a bad music video.

with the ridiculous ammounts of money put behind every drive-thru album, cough*cough* GEFFIN, cough*, i think every album they put out should be flawless. I lost all faith in drive-thru a long time ago. The reason they do and can promote every band heavily is because, unlike true "independent" labels, drive thru has sold their soul to geffen and therefore have an enormous production and promotion budget. Its becuse of this that drive thru has so many disputes with their bands (midtown, senses fail) and why i cant go to a show featuring one of their bands without being trampled by a mob of overweight 13 year old girls.
Also i think its pretty sad that every time i post i lose scene points because i dont suck off whichever band the post is about, not that i care i just think its pretty lame.
so heres what ap wants me to say, " oh my god! new allister i totally can't wait, and drive thru is like the coolest label ever. i hope allister gets an opening slot on the simple plan tour, i cant wait!"
not to knock you guys, i love the site, but do you really want everyone agree with every post and suck your ass for scene points?

cough*cough*cough they are no longer under their deal with geffen.... jackass
drive-thru had a DISTRIBUTION deal signed with MCA, but there were loopholes in the contract, when geffen took over they exploited those loopholes. Now they are free of geffen and have a STRICTLY DISTRIBUTION deal with sanctuary records group. They use their own money to do everything they do. The reason midtown left is because they thought they deserved more cuz they are greedy, and who cares why senses fail left cuz they are terrible.
if you wanna talk about shitty labels, then ill go into victory. How streetlight manifesto is basically unheard of and you cant find their cd anywhere. and remember they signed the tossers, and now no one gives a shit. But hey if you are a shitty screamo band then you get all the fucking exposure you could dream of, cuz they are all about money.
Drive-thru signs bands that they like and that they want to see their music being spread. Its why its called the drive-thru family. with victory its more like the table scraps for some bands.
do your homework before judging.

Well, if it wasn't for "None of My Friends are Punks" off the last record, that one would have been flawless. You can't tell me that you don't have "Scratch" or "Stuck" drilled into your brain for days!!! Even if you can't get into Allister, you gotta admit, they write some of the sharpest, meanest hooks around. Yeah, whut...

woah you really need to check your spelling. Drive thru isn't part of cough cough Geffen. They are not with a major contract anymore, where would you a couple months ago when they said they hated Geffen. First, off they don't have a big budget the other bands that on Geffen are The starting line, something corporate and new found glory. Not allister so, it comes probarly out of there own pockets not Geffen's. Drive Thru does not even have midtown or senses fail. you need to check your spelling and facts. p.s. i think the allister album is going be good but not amazing.

I totally agree with you. Richard and Stephanie are such great people. They are out there for the music and for the bands, they aren't about the money. They help out bands that deserve to get their music heard. It is called the Drive Thru Family, and it is called that for a reason.
