Our Cartel (http://www.cartelrocks.com) "leak" experiment seems to have been a HUGE success. I'm still crunching numbers, but it looks as though we may have had over a million plays in the time it's been running. Seriously. That's insane. Now, if we're going to keep getting labels to go along with this sort of thing - those that dig the album need to show that by purchasing it. Record sales will be a big indicator of how much push we have, and the more that buy the CD - the more CDs we'll be able to do this with in the future. I just wanted to say thank you for making this little experiment such a fun endeavor, and I hope to do it again in the near future.

A Million plays in that short time is pretty crazy. I hope more bands decide to do the same as Cartel.

its an excellent album - cant wait to pick it up..

This was a great job Tate.

I cant even begin to imagine what this did to their fan base. I started listening to them cuz of the leak, and got all my friends into them. Loads of other people must be in similar circumstances.

Conside Cartel preordered. This is quite the amazing album. Amazing enough to be put on a loop all day long while I worked. All day. JOYOUS! I can't give this album enough praise.

Cool thanks....I want to pre order it but considering i'm Canadian the cd won't get to my apt. till like July 2006. Maybe June if i'm lucky.

When I saw them just over a week ago they were doing preorders. You can get the cd and any shirt you want for $15 and they'll mail the cd to your house. They might be selling actual copies since it's so close now though.

ya someone who saw it in CA yesterday said they were selling it...but you never know...thats a sweet deal, ill probably do that, they have some awesome shirts
