The Histrionics is in my top ten of this year.

Well, even though they are signed to Fiddler, they need to get a better label that can allow them to come to the east coast. I am DYING to see them, they are one of my absolute favorite bands.

Who cares. I dont like the higher... Buut I think wether it was their move or the labels they are better off. They are playing more shows to me it seems, a few dates with Less Than Jake, Unwritten Law next week, and then our with Still Life Porjector.

Is fiddler broke? I was wondering what the deal with them was. I feel like the only band they have left is Juliette and the Licks. Weren't they going to release At All Cost's album? They always seem to get really good bands then lose them either because they break or move up (Name Taken, the Bled, Recover).

This album was so good, some label should realy get on this. These guys deserve and have the possibility to be big.

I heard Fiddler is trying to change their image, maybe even a name? I don't know if you've noticed a certain red and white plus logo show up on their site, keep an eye on that. It holds the answers to all.

The Higher's album was one of the best of the year. They have a chance to make it big. All the kids I've introduced them to have loved them so far. It wouldn't be far off to hit it big with them.

ok fiddler is on the verge of collapse.. they have nooo money.. thats why name taken couldnt go to europeand part of the reason they also did not have any money for nt to record and had no money to keep the higher on tour.. the label is going down unfortunately

Agreed. They've had so many good records that they just can't finish the job with. I'd be suprised if the Higher broke 10,000 records scanned.

I heard Fiddler is trying to change their image, maybe even a name? I don't know if you've noticed a certain red and white plus logo show up on their site, keep an eye on that. It holds the answers to all.

well this is probably good. fiddler has/had two of my favorite bands..name taken and the higher. i really hope the higher can make it out to the midwest/east coast, that would be amazing. remember as i've posted about 454345 times before to the higher: YOU CAN STAY AT MY HOUSE AND EAT FOOD.

I really love The Higher, Histrionics sure is one of my fave rlses this year, such a good album. I wish good luck to the guys, i'm sure some good label will be signing them (soon?), they r just too good.

It's true they drop the ball on a lot of there bands. And the reason why is because they didn't have a good distrubution company like other indie labels. Like Vagrant/Universal, Drive-Thru/Sanctuary, etc. They recently got on with Red Distribution. Funding is minimal when you're being a TRUE indie label. Meaning tours and stuff of those nature would have the Band doing this themselves, or get a management company.

is fiddler even a record label anymore? they have like....Paulin and Juliette and the Licks...and uh...well you're not going very far with either of those bands in my opinion

i didnt know fiddler was going downhill so bad but it honestly doesnt suprise me
i knew when they couldnt afford to send the bled on ozzfest last year that something wasnt going good for the label
i mean its not every day a band gets asked to play such a huge tour and then thier label straight up tells them no cuz they cant afford to fund it

and yes ive had the name taken icon long before posting this message about fiddler

if the higher go to fueled by ramen that would be very cool. fbr do such a good job with every band they get their hands on, except the aka's... but we all know why the akas didnt go anywhere. fbr = old drivethru, full of good bands :)

well...using jason's logic (if their myspace page says unsigned, then they must be unsigned), then Chase Pagan is unsigned too... to boot, chase's album has been done for a year and still no mention of him on geffen's site. i bet the labels lets his brilliant ass go.

anyways, fiddler has classic case now, which seemed peculiar to me, as they probably couldve gone with a number of other indies...

\(by the way...fiddler just bought law of inertia mag afew mos ago...and now the mag is apparently discontinued>.. ortso said borders)

Yeah they are broke. or at least thats the latest news I heard.

they were out east in may with sunday driver and days like these. awesome, awesome tour.
they've got the talent, they'll get picked up soon.
