I have a mix that friend made me with a bunch of indie bands and I like a few of the songs and m wondering what albums I should start with for the respective artists.

The Walkmen
Mojave 3
Mogwai
Tokyo Police Club
Spoon

Any and all help is appreciated.

Give Pavement's Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain a listen too. It's fairly accessible.

Nope, I rarely listen to them and when I do, it's Everyone...

You should tack Loney, Dear - Dear John on that list. Fans of Spoon would probably enjoy their quieter sound.

I disagree. I like all of their releases, but I think the Smith EP is their best. It's only 3 songs, but all of them are amazing, and "Cut Cut Paste" is probably the best song they've ever done.

It's a pretty good, albeit short EP, but does it have better songs than Be Good?
