View Full Version : Oh shit, Roethlisberger likely out for Texans game

Suddenly I'm concerned about this game. The last time a rusty Tommy Maddox stepped onto the field against the Texans, it resulted in one of the most lopsided games in NFL history, yet the Steelers still lost by 18 points!

Fast Willie might have to go for 300 yards.

What's wrong with Ben?

Some bone bruise in his knee or leg or something. Nothing serious, but it might take him out of the game.

One thing I like about Maddox is he does have a great connection with Hines Ward. Ben's more into the tall guys and doesn't use Ward much, but Maddox will. I just hope the Texans don't win with 10 yards passing and 3 first downs like last time. A rusty Maddox in that game was horrible. He's even more rusty now.

Whattt? Damn that sucks. I don't wanna lose to the Texans.

And yeah, I remember that game. We had like 400 yards passing and they had like 10 and we LOST.

does it really matter? Pittsburgh is just gonna run the ball down their throat. I mean, if Roethlisberger only through 11 times last week how many times do you think theyre gonna let maddox throw it this week?

yeah but parker was an unknown also coming into the game and they knew roethlisberger was a stud. with maddox in there, the texans can focus the game plan on stopping the run rather than also worrying about roethlisberger's potential

But Maddox can't go 9/11 for 200+ yards and 2 TDs like Ben can. I still don't see Houston's offense doing anything in this game. It'll have to be another offensive meltdown from the Steelers and defensive scores from Houston for the Steelers to lose this game.

yeah but parker was an unknown
i wouldn't say unknown...the kid ran behind Pitt's second string line and got 102 yards against a Bills team fighting for the playoffs last year...and the Bills have a top 5 defense. I picked him up the second I heard Bettis was out...he'll be good trade bait in the off season.

Normally questionable doesn't matter, but he was downgraded to it from probably, which is a cause for concern.
