Oh you mean as far as talking about problems with girls and such with lesbians? Well, as far as my experience goes, it's the same way as if you talked to a straight girl about it. Not much difference, girls are more sensitive in general though. Regardless of sexuality.

be flattered. i don't think most women will often go up to a guy and start flirting with him unless they've had too much to drink or they're really bold (read as: desperate). Obviously you must be attractive if other guys think so. Generally, most gay guys don't go for scrubs, at least not the ones i hang with.

It's very opposite where I live. To an annoying extent. The result is that a lot of immature teenagers fake their "bisexuality" to fuck whoever they can. It amounts to a bunch of sluts that take whatever they can get, I can't imagine how degrading that is to people who are, you know, actually of that sexuality.

That's just like my old town. All the girls would go around saying they were "bi" or "lesbian" which started escalating to higher numbers, making it harder for people to ACTUALLY come out. It's just insane.

Possibly. It's not a problem if it's an actual truth, not just an excuse to get some with whoever you can get. But I suppose that's just the teenage agenda now?

It's completely annoying is what it is. If people are just going to be fake about it, it's just making it harder for people who are ACTUALLY gay to come out, because then what's the chance they'll be taken seriously?

We have a day of silence coming up. I'm signing up, but it's ridiculous because people mistake it for a "Gay pride" day, when it's not like that. Some fucker brought a shirt saying "I like my girlfriend because I'm STRAIGHT", last year and purposely tried to get people to talk.

Its sort of annoying because in that week, students are also allowed to protest it. They make shirts every year that say
" ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND STEVE".

lol, With people being Homophobic towards me. When I figured out I was gay - when I was like 14 or so, I ended up getting a lot of balls thrown at me by the older kids on the street. Degrading comments shouted at me by the men, and I was even spat on quite a few times. I had far too many fights when I was a kid, trying to stick up for myself. Now that I'm older, and still known as the neighbourhood's lesbian, I still get some derogatory comments shouted at me (it's worse when I walk down the street with any girl). The other day I left my house and some teenage boys, around 18 years old said to his friend "look there's the dyke". I have never seen those people before in my life. For the past few years though, I've learnt to keep myself to myself on my street, as it's common knowledge that those same kids I grew up with throwing balls at me, are now heavily involved in drugs and carry guns. It's not worth getting shot over. There's one guy - Darrel, who I used to fight with all the time. I put his head through a fence when I was like 15, and kicked him off his bike for punching my then gilfriend in the face. Now he's been arrested for carrying knives. So yeah, I stay clear and just keep my head down when I walk past them. I'm just glad that I never came out in highschool. Where I went, I would never have heard the end of it. My gym teacher was a lesbian and hearing the homophobia towards her scared me out of coming out.

The horrifying thing is that I got off lightly. I'm so grateful that all that happened to me was spitting, insults and the odd object being thrown. My brother is also gay (loads of my family are), he's 18 and has been going through similar things since he was 16 so now I worry about him more than myself. I just feel lucky we don't live in a town where we'd be killed or something. It's good that we live close to London's West End, where people are very accepting. We never go out in our own town, so during the week we keep to ourselves and then at the weekends we jump on the subway for 20 mins and can be ourselves. Hold our partners' hands without fear.

I have a few gay friends, both guys and girls, the guys are more complected than the girls.
My older sister is a fashion designer so she's in gay central when it comes to guys...
Unwelcome advances...from one of my sisters gay guy friends, so it was weird.
He had been drinking and he would NOT leave be alone about my boobs...gah. I don't believe that he's really gay, just a little bit of alcohol in him and he's all over the chicks...sober, he's all over the dudes. >_<

You should go to gay clubs to meet them...I love the gay club in Nashville. It's the best...and usually very safe for girls...considering all the guys are gay they really don't bother you...
Man, do those gay boys have some MOVES!

Dude, I need a guy to go bra shopping with!
Dublin girls eh? I'd much rather have a girl up in my personal space than a guy, gay or not, just saying is all.
Awh :( it's crap we are on opposite sides of an ocean.
Haha well that makes sense, I'd rather a guy than a girl haha.

Girls can be sneaky mindfucks. Guys seem more upfront asses lol which is easier to deal with.
Can I come bra shopping with someone, or does that defeat the object?

haha, we do need to all go clubbing together!
The music selection at the places aren't exactly for music critics but whatever, it's still fun :-)
Sneaky mindfucks is what I hate about girls...guys are definitely more upfront about their asshole-ishness so once it's on the table, pfft, I can handle it...or at least I sort of have a choice on whether I want to handle it or not...
Out of my family there are 3 bi-sexual people...is that weird?? Do you think it's a trait or something?

Considering in my family, there are *counts* ... 1 lesbian, 3 gays, and 4 bisexuals. That's my generation of cousins alone, and one of the gays is my brother too. I would have to say I think it is somewhat hereditary. I also know that my great grandma had a few gay males in her family. Her brother was gay, and a few cousins I think. So yeah, take from that what you will.

I <3 talking to lesbians more than straight guys (also reasons; some obvious some not)

It's kinda boring lol. My mother has alcohol problems, up until like 3 weeks ago she spent the last 2 years or so drinking NOTHING but cider and vodka. It resulted in our relationship deteriorating to the point where I couldn't even stand being around her, her fighting with my ass of a stepdad, getting arrested twice (even though it was my stepdad who should've been, but he's the worlds biggest liar), being taken to hospital more than 3 times, us fighting all the time, a VERY aggressive christmas where my brother and I ended up moving in with my g'ma for a week, and loads of other shit. It all resulted in my stress levels shooting up and I became this horrible, angry person that I've never been. I was losing it, throwing shit around, smashing things, punching walls, just being pathetic really. She had to go to the doctor for blood tests the other week, and that seemed to "scare her straight". And after being relieved that there was no damage to her liver,... yet, she seemed honestly devoted to quitting the drink. My stepdad has not helped at all, he also has a drinking problem but I couldn't care less about him to be honest. But he drinks in front of her still, keeps offering her it, leaving it in front of her and telling her she doesn't have a problem.
All that aside, she's been doing really well. Eating healthy, taking the dogs out for walks, she even came swimming with me last week. But today she seemed a bit off. When she went upstairs I checked the trash, and there was a can of cider on top of all the paper rubbish she had put in there last. It is just me and her in the house right now, and when I asked her, she denied it. But also, I noticed that the oven top was greasy from food she'd obviously cooked and this is a sign that she's been drinking because when she was drunk she would leave the oven greasy until she woke up from her afternoon nap (pass out). But when she's sober my mom has like, cleaning OCD and can't leave anything dirty, she can't even leave a can that I finish on the table for more than a minute before she snatches it up and throws it away herself.
I'm pretty sure she was drinking this morning (also, she's asleep right now and it's only near 2 in the afternoon), and I'm just so disappointed.
Boring lol.

Not so boring. I don't really know what to say. I know that my mom had/has a drug addiction. I'm not sure to what exactly but all the signs are there. She would get her paycheck every other week, but would only end up coming home ith about 1/3 of it, and continue to spend only half of that on food and do god knows what else with the rest. She would randomly be extremely kind and caring, but a few days later be screaming at me and arguing for no reason. She was never home, always at her boyfriend's house. So it was my brother, my ex, and I at the house (and whoever we had over at the time).
But needless to say, you've tried asking her about it...if it was me in this situation...(as many loopholes there are) if you know where the alcohol is kept, I would hide it or get rid of it. That's just me though.

I texted my stepdad and asked him if he knew if she had, but he didn't reply. Typical asshole. Plus he just came home early from work, came upstairs and then went out again and didn't say anything to me. I fucking hate him! I just want to know if she has, so that I can stop putting my hope on her changing. I don't want to be around her if she's drinking because it makes me so angry, and the past 2 weeks or so I've been spending so much time with her again. I just want to know so I can help myself.

Tell her how much you enjoy spending time with her, and how when she was constantly drinking you never spent time together. Normally that helps.

I'm sorry to hear that you went through that. And yeah I often did throw away the alcohol, I don't know how many bottles of vodka I've poured down the sink in the last few years. But this time it's his alcohol not my mom's. And if I throw that away I'm liable to be attacked by the twat.
And heh, believe me I've told her how I feel about the whole thing. She says now (that she's sober) that she's sorry, and embarassed. But when it comes down to it, I honestly don't think she cares.

Hmm all I can think to do is keep asking her to go out and spend time with you. That's what I tried. Unfortunately that's why I moved out and now live about 700 miles away from her. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

She doesn't want to come out though. That's what I mean, I think deep down she is content on living in this vicious little circle. And I get that, I just want to know once and for all if I put all my energy into helping her, for nothing.. again. And then all my energy will go on getting a new job and moving out with my girlfriend.
