On another topic, Howard Benson has been tabbed to produce LTJ's upcoming album. For those who don't remember, he produced their '98 album Hello Rockview, along with albums by POD, Motorhead, Head Automatica, MCR, the Used, and All American Rejects, among others. The new stuff sounds great. They played "Still Life Franchise" and "Negative Size of Positive Eyes" (I believe that's the correct title), as well as "Let Her Go." Vinnie described it as dark, but much more ska on the new record. We should see it out on Sire in Spring '06.

Very true.
I figured that if anyone took the time to read my rant, I'd make it worth their while :) They played the three new songs, and then something off every album, which was pretty cool. There was much confetti and toilet paper blowers. And for those who wondered along with me, it's David Me-lill-o, not Me-lee-yo.

Yep. It's more the type of people that go to shows and look like that (there are plenty of shows where looking that that is commonplace, and that's fine). But at a ska show, especially LTJ...no.

this is so close minded and makes me really sad. what other kinds of people are banned from ltj shows, according to you guys? fat kids? asian kids? kids who cant play a brass instrument? ltj was on asian man-- can you re-call all the anti-prejudice compilations they put out? jeez, if kids who wear eyeliner like ltj, more power to them. and what about warped tour, where ltj AND underoath play. should they section it off so that the ska kids have a different water fountain than the goth kids? im exagerrating here, but seriously, this is a little immature.

i saw ltj frosh yr of college and they were awesome. the played stuff from all their cds. they are very diverse
As long as the new record is better than Anthem I don't care. Don't get me wrong, that's a cool and catchy record. But LTJ can pull out way better stuff than that.

I don't own that one, so I haven't listened to it enough to know the songs. There was a song I didn't recognize that wasn't new, so I assumed it was off that album. I could be wrong. Damn it. I meant to get a setlist, and I forgot.

I'm so excited. I love LTJ and no these ***gy scenesters shouldn't pollute ska shows. There was a bunch at a Catch 22 show I caught about a year ago and I was confused. It was Big D and Catch 22. No room for sadness there.

I'd be suprised if LTJ played anything off of "Losers". Maybe "Econolodged" or "Where The Hell Is Mike Sinkovich" (which is on Pezcore too anyway) but I'd doubt it.

We were thinking about going to Orlando to see them tonight, but decided against it...saw Chris do an acoustic set at this little record shop near here last week though and it was great. Hadn't listened to LTJ since middle school so it brought back some fun memories.
