Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This: 3,644 (84,079)

Hopefully it will take a huge boost with the Nintendo Fusion Tour

Pennywise - Fuse: 2,218 (27,774)

This seems very low considering how long they've been around. How does this compare to Full Circle sales?

Academy Is - Almost Here: 1,595 (49,606)

Still trucking along, good sales for their first full release.

Fall Out Boy - Evening Out With: 1,337 (22,113)

Wow, kids finally realized they have this album as well. Either that or the pink attracted people.

well A. MCR has 2 smash hits that appeal to the angsty highschool kid,
B. MCR have that whole goth image hot topic look that is again huge w/ the highschool kids
C.gerard is 'mysterious' 'creepy' 'cute and disturbed' ...you get it
D. they just launced a 3rd huge budget video
E. their album has been out over a year, plans has been out a week
F. death cab dont' appeal to highschool kids, they arent good looking, they aren't young, their music does not have appeal to the hot topic angstly young crowd who spend all their money on records...theyapeal to the broke college and grad students who steal shit off the internet

it still amazes me that last week 46,000 people got up and said "im going to go buy the fallout boy cd". I dont mean that in ANY way degrading to them, i really like them, its a good thing. its amazing to me that so many people are supporting our "genre" its refreshing and a great thing to see. 46,000 people is a rediculously huge number of people to all be thinking of going to buy a cd in one week.

congrats to all the bands and their very amazing cd sales.

Their last album was fairly well promoted, the thing was that the album sucked!!! It had maybe one or two good songs. That being said, the new album is really good. I would advise just about everyone to pick it up. It is sure to be a sleeper pick for one of the top ten albums of the year.

its albums shipped, not sold.

Vendetta Red's new album is definitely album of the year material. Its unbelievable how well this album was done. It's one of the most melodic albums I've ever heard. I can't say enough amazing things about the album and the band. We (Greeley Estates) played with them in Montreal a few weeks ago and they can pull off all the high notes and the new members are amazing musicians. I sound like an advertisement for them! It's good stuff!

The one thing that is probably hurting album sales is the fact that it has about 3 or 4 "Parental Advisories" on it for language, violence and sexual content, which means it won't be carried in the Wal-Marts and, probably, Target. Thats a huge chunk of all bands albums sales. Anyway, Good luck to these guys and go get the album!

Wow, I've never really listened to this band at all, but I always thought they were fairly popular, they used to be all over the place. Is the new stuff just not good, or did their time simply pass?
This is easily the most shocking set of numbers to me this week. I can't believe the sales are that weak. Id like to see what they did with the last album...I would have to think that it even debuted stronger than this with "Shatterday" getting a shit ton of airplay on FUSE before it came out. They played it alot on the radio station here, but not sure how much it got elsewhere besides Seattle and here in Nebraska, where they got big support.

Perhaps the subject matter of the disc is off putting to some people if they read interviews about it before hand. I was very skeptical but its far better than their last disc was. If I remember right Alternative Press gave it a 5 of 5 which reaches quite a few peoples eyes. Very surprised at the numbers this is putting up. Oh well as long as they keep food on their table and making music im fine with that.

Also I dont remember who said it I had to laugh my ass off when someone said that "the 12 year old girls were gonna be pretty disappointed with Rise Against's new album"....I would pay money to see the reaction of a couple of them when they pop it in for the first time in their mom's Windstar on a trip back from the mall.

If an album isn't here, it's because it doesn't appear on the list I got. When I'm lucky, I get the top 200 indie and top 200 regular charts, figure if it's not on the list, it sold less than the lowest number you see. That's a good rule of thumb unless I was just stupid and missed seeing it.

You think Vendetta red will get dropped b/c EPIC has done nothing for them? It's hard to say. Apparently, they got one of the biggest record deals for a first time artist. They might try to recoup in another album. But I definitely think their new album will slowly start posting bigger numbers as the word gets out about how epic (no pun intended) this album really is. I hope this band doesn't turn into a thing where they start to get noticed years later. I think this band might fall into this category like Sunny Day Real Estate. SDRE was a band way before its time. Vendetta Red might be, as well.

I also think Epic is marketing them wrong. They aren't punk or emo or post-hardcore. Their label and/or management really need to get them an opening spot on a theater or arena tour. That's the forum for this band. Their music is anthemic (is that a word? haha) and the live show is grand. Opening for Finch and going on tour with Bayside isn't hitting the right crowd. Taste Of Chaos is a perfect upcoming tour for them.

Man, I seemed to have analyzed this way too much....haha.

my favorite is straight ahead.
That album is only really good for the first half, and then "Alien"

"Full Circle" is their best. "Bro Hymn" is a sacred anthem in the punk world.

wonder how chiodos and my american heart did.

I'm not a fan of FFTL at all but can't believe they have only sold 70k and hawthorne heights have sold like 500k.

They may be ahead of their time. But lets just hope that they are still making music that they want to and not music that a record company wants them to make when people start to "get" them. They should be huge already....and the new album should only further that, but they are not. They may be one of those that you either love or hate...no in betweens. In my group of friends myself and one or two other guys love them and the majority of the rest of my friends cannot stand them for whatever reason.

I think people may be reading into the subject matter of the album to much and it could be scaring them away. The lyrics are no more disturbing than something you could find on the last Senses Fail album, except the songs with that kind of content on the Vendetta Red album don't have gigantic plot holes that make you think they are doing it just for shock value like SF.
