I think because when I was in elementary school we'd spend the entire day having little parties and just giving valentines to people. My friends and I just usually give each other candy and cheap gifts, and candy is always nice. I've only spent it with a boyfriend once, but all he did was get me a lemonade fountain drink from Dave's Chevron...
