lol, I'm going to this in NY. I am just wondering if the Apr.1st and Apr.2nd are any diff, like if adtr and tdwp will swap headlining spots. Im stoked. I love ADTR and Emarosa.

Apparently ADTR and TDWP are playing the same length of time anyways, because they're both co-headliners. Sky Eats Airplane is pretty awesome, as well. And certain dates are getting an additional band, Miss May I.
I already bought my tickets for the May 1st show in Cincinnati. I'm glad this thread got started, because now I'll get a good idea of the setlists beforehand.

It's a co-headlining show, and we also have an additional band. I wonder if that means that the other bands will play a few minutes less.
Woot just bought my tickets for the April 23rd show at The Glasshouse.
I'm so stoked for this.

I'm probably going March 26. Haven't seen TDWP or Emarosa in a while so it should be good.
I hope they play all of Goats on a Boat this time instead of just the last minute.

FALSE! This is The Devil Wears Prada headline tour. They are not co-headlining with anyone.
The Devil Wears Prada are good friends with A Day To Remember. ADTR is on the tour as direct support. SEA is support and Emerosa opens.

I'll be there April 7th. First time seeing Emarosa. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I'm just glad it's not at fucking Xtreme Wheels. The WORST venue I've ever played/been to. fuck that place.

ADTR said it was a co-headlining tour between them and TDWP not too long ago on their chat on here.
Who else is hitting up the Seattle date?
Well the tour poster has TDWP as the headliner and we will see who closes the show each night.
BTW I will be going to the last show. Can't wait!

No the poster just has TDWP on first.
Them and ADTR will get the same amount of time for their set and they'll switch off closing the show.

I hope the Hawthorne doesnt enforce its 11pm curfew on a saturday night; If it starts at 7...I could see it go this way
Emarosa = 30 mins
<20 mins Breakdown/Setup>
Sky Eats Airplane = 40 Mins
<25 Mins Breakdown/Setup>
Prada = 50 Mins
<25 Mins Breakdown/Setup>
ADTR = 50 mins
240 mins = 4 hrs
it works, they just had better not screw us over and get some local band to eat up local time.

02/18/09, 12:25 AM
It's a Co-Headliner, however co-headliners never work how they're supposed to. One will always head the bill. TDWP is the bigger band right now so obviously they're first on the flier.
It's just like Silverstein/Chiodos "co-headlining" last Fall - Chiodos was the obvious headliner, but it was called a "co-headlining" tour because they both got massive set lengths.

I've seen both ADTR and DWP and I really could care less who played last I know ill be tired as shit by then anyways.
But if I had to pick, ADTR last because DWP i feel gives off more energy.

they are first on the flier because they are the headliner.
adtr will be playing around 45 mins
and prada around an hour.
"The band will embark on a headlining run with A Day To Remember, Sky Eats Airplane and Emarosa"
"The Devil Wears Prada has announced a major headlining tour for Spring 09"
"The Devil Wears Prada will headline a spring 2009 tour with support from A Day To Remember, Sky Eats Airplane, and Emarosa"
and just for future reference, co-headline tours are more about guarantee and the money you get with back end...not set length time.

sweet bragger.
I REALLY hope ADTR get more than 45 minutes, 50 minutes would be ok, It's just that I was REALLY effin' excited to see them at Warped, but didnt get to see them, so the excitement has been building since before last summer, then Homesick leaked, and then my excitement is just out of this world.
I dunno I could see this:
Emarosa: 25 mins
Sky Eats: 35 mins
ADTR: 50 mins
Prada: 65 mins
------------------
175 mins + 1 hr 10 mins for breakdown/set ups = 11:05 end time, which checks out.

i bet ADTR and TDWP both get 50 minute sets and TDWP comes back out for a two song encore. i don't really see why anybody really cares who the headliner is since both bands are going to get decent set lengths.

Just figured I would let you guys know, I wouldn't expect the sets to be the that long, especially for ADTR. I saw them on their headlining CD release show and they were suppose to play for at least an hour and they played about 40 mins (including encore), maybe they will learn the new songs and make there set longer.
And honestly there is no way the Devil Wears Prada will play for over an hour, I assume they will play for 50 mins and ADTR for 40 mins, I think thats a little more realistic

Its a co-headlining tour. They will both play for the same amount of time. Which is, hopefully, 1 hour. I don't really want to pay 20 some dollars to see a 40 minute set from each headling band. Im used to paying 10, so this is stretching it.

Devil Wears Prada is the headliner, its not co headlining, and I wouldn't get your hopes up about the set time, its possible they play longer then 40 mins but I wouldn't say its very likely (especially since ADTR are used to doing sets as a supporting band).

I think, we should wait till the first show, that someone goes to, and then that person can tell us if it's a headliner, or co-headliner.

I love how someone said that afterwards it'll be like an hour for cleanup and breakdown, when the whole night will just be one long breakdown.
A Day To Remember's new album sucks, unfortunately. I loved them so much when a friend bought me their debut for my birthday in '05. Then they got signed to Victory, and I was worried, but FTWHH was actually pretty good. Homesick, just no. It's a giant mashup of everything wrong with the genre nowadays. 2-3 breakdowns in every song, and it all sounds the same.
Not trying to rag on the band or their fans, but I guess I just miss when the "scene" wasn't like this. I wish this -core trend would die out so much. Deathcore especially. Such a disgrace upon the music I love.

I got my AP today and noticed ADTR got 4 stars for their new album Homesick. The genre is fine nowadays. People either need to move with the times or just keep playing the old stuff and cry in their beer.

I wouldn't give AP that much credit for their reviews; typical AP reviews contain tiny tid bits of information on the band with two or three sentences about if the albums cool or not. Half the time, I feel like certain records get a good review if they 'have a good beat and you can dance/sing a long to it' or the artist is getting a lot of buzz [for more on this, look at the reviews they give to any major artist that pops up in the 'indie reivew section'].

Maybe because it's the least creative songs they have written yet, with the most predictable song structures and laughable cheesy lyrics. "Disrespect your surroundings" ? What? Why would I want to do that? "You won't make it out alive"? Wasn't that line already used in the song 1958? They've beaten a dead horse by incorporating a generic breakdown segments into every track, save for the incredibly bad acoustic ballad "If It Means A Lot To You". The more I listen to this record, the more I hate it. The only tracks that keep me coming back would have to be "I'm Made Of Wax, Larry..." and "NJ Legion Iced Tea".

i have to disagree, i really like the acoustic song, its quite unique, but i agree with the cheesy lines and such, for instance "disrespect your surrodings" and how they keep chanting "downfall of us all" at the end of that song. plus songs like homesick and have faith in me are just boring. the only song thats pretty good is holdin it down and my life for hire.

Nightmare7

From FTWHH, check out "Fast Forward To 2012" and "The Danger In Starting A Fire". And you could also count the re-done versions of "Heartless" and "You Should've Killed Me When You Had The Chance", and the bonus song "Why Walk On What When We've Got Boats" from the re-release. I'm pretty sure they always play those songs, plus the ones you named.

Get rid of Welcome To The Family and Since U Been Gone, and add My Life For Hire and Cable Car. Then it would pretty much be all my favorites. Oh, and they need to play Have Faith In Me. Also, I don't see why everyone hates Why Walk On Water. It's one of my favorites and I'd imagine it would be a pretty good song to play live to get the energy up.

Anybody know why SEA isn't on the lineup for the April 1st and 2nd show in NYC?
I just noticed they weren't on the lineup anymore.
hmm thats weird, their myspace says theyre playing shows in PA and DE those dates... maybe they dont like new york xP but their shows arent listed at the PA and DE venue sites. weirdness.

To the people who have already went to this show, or future people who are going to this show before the Cincinnati date:
I'm seeing this in Cincinnati. Assume the crowd is going to be the same size as it was at your show. If I want to get up front, how long before the doors open should I get there? Like an hour before?

he was just guessing. but some of those songs are 4/5 minutes long so they do eat up the set time.

Yes it has, why are people so lazy? Just go two pages back and you'll find that someone has posted ADTR's setlist, not to mention you can LOOK at the tour dates on the "Sweet Brag Tour" flier that's plastered all over the internets to see that it has indeed already begun.

SO you assume that I am lazy just because I ask one question? I can ask a question? Its not like I said "Oh hey guys I want to know what the set list is for ADTR?!?! someone plz tell me!" If I was going to ask THAT I would of looked hard. And every website I have been on has not had the "Sweet Brag Tour" flier so its not everywhere.
Anyway I like the set list from ADTR, this would be a great show to go to. Two very energetic bands! I envy anyone that attends this

ADTR's set was pretty much the same as the one listed earlier in this thread. They put on a pretty awesome show. TDWP took a ridiculously long time to set up (they started as the show was supposed to be ending), but put on a pretty good set. I've seen them 4 times and this was the first time I saw them play "Texas is South".

i saw on youtube that they open with reptar king of the ozone and also play, dogs can grow beards all over, still fly, and html roolz dude, but those were all obviously gonna be a part of their set. the reptar intro is pretty cool.

i also saw a video of them playing goats on a boat and hey john what's you name again. i'm happy that they are playing goats on a boat. i've seen them 4 times and have never seen that song live.
I'd have to disagree. I think ftwhh is less creative, just a bunch of power cords and boring metal riffs on a lot of the songs, but the vocals mad up for it. I still love it but I think Homesick is more creative, especially mr. highway and homesick. I think it was a lot more thought out. I do have to agree with some of the cheesy lyrics in some of the songs but I definitely think it's a lot more interesting and dynamic than ftwhh.

devil wears prada- I saw them 4 times last year, and lemme tell you tonight beat all 4 of them. a whole hour of straight br00t471ty. although it took 30 minutes to set up, they killed it. they played (in no particular order): goats on a boat, dogs can grow beards, 3 new songs (dez moines being one of them, and wow did they jam hard), don't dink and drance, reptar, modeify the pronunciation, texas is south, HTML, john whats your name, still fly, and maybe 1 or 2 more. new songs absolutely owned, and they played the greatest show i've ever seen out of 5 times seeing them.
hope this helps

Apparently ADTR and TDWP are playing the same length of time anyways, because they're both co-headliners. Sky Eats Airplane is pretty awesome, as well. And certain dates are getting an additional band, Miss May I.
I already bought my tickets for the May 1st show in Cincinnati. I'm glad this thread got started, because now I'll get a good idea of the setlists beforehand.
I'll be at the may first show as well.

Ive only seen them twice but I know people who have seen them more and it was the same list every time. of course it's worth it. a day to remember barely ever plays long sets like these. every time i've seen em it's been 6-7 songs. so i'm stoked. and if you skip this tour, their next tour in the US is Warped, and theres no way you'll get 12 songs on Warped tour.
so i say go. the tour is pretty cheap. i live in NYC and the ticket price was $18. and the bands are really good, and apparently it's an awesome show. cant go wrong.

Uh yea! I'm in total agreeance over here. Jonny Craig makes my non-existant dick supa hard. I went to the show in Memphis and they had Emarosa start before even a quarter of the people were inside so the crowd was no good. AND I believe they made them knock a song off of their setlist :l It really sucked because that's who I mainly went to see, but Jonny still completely rocked it. Flawless
