the red cross is the worst organization you could donate your money to. do your research on an organization before you give them money and see how much goes to administration and such. historically, only about 10% of the money the red cross collects for disasters goes to said disaster. here is a link with lot's of information about it: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2005/010905redcross.htm
