I haven't recommended music in a while, so check below if you're interested.
Note: There were two more INCREDIBLE bands that I was going to recommend, but can't because of a conflict of interest, unfortunately

Augustana (www.purevolume.com/augustana)- I get 4 or 5 e-mails a day from kids thanking me for introducing them to this band. I have loved them since the second I heard them and their song "Boston" is currently the soundtrack to my life. This band has a lasting sound that could be huge... Coldplay huge.
Lifestyle (www.purevolume.com/thelifestyle)- Reminds me a lot of The June Spirit. The songs aren't super catchy and poppish, but they have a very melodic/soft feel to them. These guys will also receive some attention in the coming months, stay tuned.
Ludo (www.purevolume.com/ludo)- Rock opera goodness. Listen to "Save Our City". The vocals are extremely tacky and may be extremely hard to get used to, but this stuff is ingenious. The melodies are super weird and the lyrics are extremely eery. This is not a typical band by any means, if you want something new and fresh to listen to, check them out.
Satisfaction (www.purevolume.com/satisfaction)- Throwback styled band, catchy as shit. To my understanding, they've been receiving a lot of label attention and can really bring a new perspective into the "scene".
Forgive Durden (www.purevolume.com/forgivedurden)- They're about to sign and their new shit rules...this band will take over the world very soon. A lot of people compare them to Gatsby's, although I personally don't hear the similarities.

Twilight City Fracture (www.purevolume.com/twilightcityfracture)- They're serioulsy one of the only bands I can't say that sound like anyone else.. like a couple of the songs sound similar to armor for sleep.. but omgz orgasm
American Eyes (www.myspace.com/americaneyes)- Really fun band.. really good live.. the just shot their video for Radio aaaaand dave is one of the funniest people I've ever come in contact with in my life.
National Product (www.myspace.com/nationalproduct)- Fucking amazing guys... a lot of the money they get from shows/merch they give to foundations and I love their Smashing Pumpkins cover.
Rock Kills Kid (www.rockkillskid.com)- I am fucking obsessed with their song on Myspace (www.myspace.com/rockkillskid), "Paralyzed".
Stacy Clark (www.myspace.com/ilovestacyclark)- One of the few girls I've seen with any kind of talent...she has an amazing voice and she's an amazing girl.
Bleed The Dream (www.purevolume.com/bleedthedream)- They're fucking AMAZING live and Ilove Keith...he's a shitface...but I love him.
Nevaeh (http://myspace.com/Nevaeh)- I found them a few weeks ago on myspace. Fucking amazing band, not like most bands i've seen lately who you listen to a few times and get bored of. I can seriously find myself listening to them for a while...i say "fucking" and "amazing" a lot, damn.
