Basically. I wanted to see why people like them. Might as well make it an official thread. :shrug: I don't see the issue.
Well, last night, I was listening to them for the first time laying there on my bed, and, I don't know, just felt boring. It was so distorted that I could barely tell what was even going on. I like the Sonic Youth-esque edge about them though. I don't think they're horrible. I just don't get the hype. I probably should give them more time, which I will, but I don't see them growing on me a whole lot. Although that is how I have felt about a lot of my favorite bands.

i really really like this band
great great jams and totally legit dudes
i had 14 cents for a button and their merch dude gave me some fucked up look, then Dean turns around and goes fuck yes you can get a button then sees my Gorilla Biscuits pin and starts doing the opening guitar and drum part to New Direction.
Nouns is definitely growing. Now that I know what to expect it's been a lot easier to listen to, and it's been rewarding.

Pretty rad, played a lot of stuff of Nouns, some off weirdo/eps, couple of new songs. Really loud. Overall, enjoyable. Opening band though..lol, so bad.

But then the Opening Band was The Goat, who is some band of professional skaters, like Spanky, Andrew Reynolds, et cetera. so bad yet so hilarious. Actually, not that bad

I'm not really a fan of the recorded stuff (except for Crpytograms) but man, their live show is so good, I imagine Deacon would be pretty sweet live too, just sucks that it's in the summer seeing as how I'll be out of state the whole time.

and ironically when i played with DD he said the night before (the reaosn he was in CO) was to play some show at a college in the Springs and got flown out and paid an insane amount of money. he said it was all douchey college bros fucking around and fucking with girl so he played ten minutes, packed up, got his money, and left. then the next night he rented out a mammoth PA for Rhinoceropolis and gave them all the door money, which was probably 1500 bux. like 300 people all paying $5 or less each
