New review added for Vendetta Red (http://www.vendettared.com) - Sisters of the Red Death right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/reviews.php?action=viewarticle&artid=294). This suprisingly great record is in stores now.

Well, I didn't plan to check this CD out, 'cause I didn't like their first, either, but now I might have to.

This band is one of the best to see live. It's insane how interactive they were.

yeah, their last cd was pretty horrible (except for shatterday, of course), but this one is amazing.

fuck me scott

I pretty much agree.

I'm bored of it now though. More song variation would have been nice.

I saw them at warped two years ago,and i thought they were some crazy screamo band, so I bought "BTNAN"..and it sucked minus 1 or 2 songs. It sucks they got signed for a million dollars, and this cd only scans 4000,they definitly deserve more for there hard work.

so did I... but this new one, is actually fucking worth a listen... i saw them live and i think they went through a small lineup change...

That's too bad....Is this a concensus? Am I the only one who liked Between the Never and Now?

eh, im one of the few that liked the first album... so i was really psyched about the new album (and pissed that their tour with finch didnt come to south florida)... but all the stores around here didnt think the album would sell very well, and they are all sold out

for me "joyless euphoria" is the standout track. i can't listen to that song without getting excited. the whole album is pretty damn solid though. it was never removed from my car stereo for almost an entire month this summer. and with a 15 minute drive to and from work each day, that's saying something. i really think they should have released the album this summer, becuase it just feels like a summer album to me.
regardless of the release date, this is my album of the year. i know it's not the most creative, original, challenging, whatever, but it's given me more enjoyment than anything else released this year (i'm kind of realizing almost everything i got into this year is old). the lyrics/story are amazingly well-written and executed. the music is catchy as hell and just plain fucking exciting. and it just has a staying power unique to most albums of this style.

apparently i am the only one who liked their last album.

I really liked it. I thought it was horribly underrated.

However, the new album destroys the old one. It's so good. Top 5 for the year so far for me.

I am so glad for the guys that they came through with this album. I think we can all agree the last album was like Shatterday and that was it for me. The new album has the strong single but a good album to go along with that.

I love their new album, thanks for giving it some credit. It's unbelievable that it's so good, and they are on a major label and its only scanned 4000 copies. I like their first album as well, at cetain points, but this one is so much better. It's amazing how much they improved.

This album is like Emery's The Question - I can't get past two songs without turning it off and putting on something else. It seems catchy enough, and well done, but for some reason I really get the desire to turn these two albums off once they start.

I loved BTNATN, but oh well.

Joyless Euphoria is so fantastic. As soon as the gang vocals come in on "eyelids back," it's on.

It's good to see people who have changed their mind about Vendetta Red. I am one of the few who thought their last album was very underrated. The album, as a whole, wasn't outstanding but it had some definite moments and it deserved more recognition.

Now, for this album, I've been running my mouth about this thing every since I got it. And it hasn't left my CD player. Everything is grand with this album. And if you haven't seen them live, you must check them out. I'm sure you probably think they can't pull off these vocal melodies and harmonies live. Their live show is even more mind blowing than this album. And they are really nice guys who will openly talk about their last album.

I have a feeling, no matter what this album sells, Epic won't drop them. They'll catch on.

Great review, by the way!
