What the moon whispered to the stars, it made them fly away
‘Tomorrow’s just another day so no point for you to stay,
for the sun’s rays dance their own ballet’
What the moon whispered to the stars, it made them fly away
I watched her dance to the sound of rain
A camera lightning made, the flashes frame her night
She said the audience all blew away
‘They’ll be in clouds by the dawn of day,
where they’ll lose their teeth each time they bite’
I wish it’d snow to freeze this sight
While it’s a sin to stain the dove
I paint the picture red and white
I’m flying low with broken love
Hovering in ghastly light
That they’ve come to call eternal night
And now each time it snows, I’m reminded of your angel
That gets buried every time.
